What the fell is up with this?

This guy was playing commander being really annoying in a game I was in earlier, shouting that he'd seen enemies constantly (like every two seconds) throughout the game when there was nobody around. Because of this i noticed his name and happened to check his score at the end, and this is what I saw:

How is this possible? He was acting very odd, but how can he have any points, never mind 74 without a single kill or support point. I asked him next round and he just said he didnt know.

Don't you get some points based on how well your team performs too, and also for fulfilling requests like supply drops etc?

And then of course it is doubled for the win, so he only got 37...

Isn't the commanders score an average of the team?

Jesus how many people are there out there that still don't know that a huge % of the commander's score is based on the running average of his teams final score.

A commander *could* accept the role, go and make a cup of coffee and do nothing during the game and still get the average of his teams score (but unlikely that his team would win so no x 2 bonus).

Hahaha man he has no teamwork kills ect because..
-He is commander he gets commander points not teamwork.
-He didnt get any kills because in 1.03 Artillry kills dont count as kills.(lol)
-He was spotting units so that you would know if a tank was coming

I wish every commander was like yours he sounds good
You sound like your new to the game, you just buy it?

A commander's score is solely based on the average score of the team.
There is no other beneficial factor except for the 2X multiplier if his side wins.

A commander does not get points for using UAV, Scans, Artillery, or Supplies.
A commander does not get points for issuing orders or spotting targets.
A commander does not get points using normal means (tools in hand).
A commander does lose points for teamkilling (1.03 artillery no longer has that effect).

If three guys all have fourty points, the commander will get fourty points.
If two guys have fourty and zero, the commander will get twenty.
If two guys have ten and zero, but one leaves, the commander will have five.

Guys who are in the round long enough or gain a certain amount of points and leave will still have their score added in the average to accumulate the commander's score.

That is the only means of getting commander points, those four toys and omniscient view are privileges that the one who steals the seat first might not and doesn't even have to bother with using for the benefit of the team. And when he does use them, there's a good chance he'll get more points.

Still, I'd wish those "active" commanders would shut up with spotting every single soldier that isn't in UAV range. Something like a tank or chopper advancing towards some allies, sure, but Joes #1 through #9 who are two hundred meters away aren't necessary to point out.

A commander that constantly spot is a good commander, keeping his team aware of enemies.

When i am commander, i would see a guy near a friendly, and constantly spot him, the friendly wouldn't even notice and got killed unaware of him.

                  People need to wake up.

Artillery kills no longer show up on your K/D ratio. Also, I tend to get very high scores when I'm commander too.

                    Someone call the wambulance!
Yeah, he doesn't have to cry because he doesn't know something, we all have wonders.

yup, you could sit on your arse the whole game and do nothing, youd still get the points. you dont get points for supply drops or team flag capping or anything. just the teams average.

I was commanding a round and saw a C4 monkey goin for the UAV so I let him have a few bursts and I got credited for that kill. SO it will tally non-arty kills but I don't know if I got the 2 points for it. I also revived a few people he killed but no teamscore, therefor I think it will count the kills, but you don't get anything for em. Which is good, or it would encourage the Heroic commander in a tank we all love so much.

The Commander gets 2x the average for his team. Add up ALL the team's global score on the winning side. Divide the total, by the number of players on the team. Then x2.... You have the commander score. The losing team's commander just gets the AVERAGE, not the x2 bonus! Not sure if people disconnecting or getting kicked/ban during the round has an effect on the Com score. Maybe so! But this is how its figured out!
