Help/Tips for using the PKM ???

Sorry if this has been covered, but a search of PKM did nothing. I unlocked the PKM, and have noticed that the accuracy is completely horrid. Now, It may be just me, but I'm wondering if there is something I'm missing. I can't seem to hit the broad side of the barn, so to speak.
I have tried to take deliberate aim--->2-3 shots (If I can manage it). This is from close to medium range, mind you, as I don't expect to snipe with it. I seem to hit everything else but what im aiming at. Any suggestions as to maybe sqeeze a bit more accuracy out of it?

Always prone, always fire in controlled bursts - unless you are firing at a chopper, then it seems like as long as you lead the target well you will hit.

Also try to find narrow choke points. Like doors, between buildings, e.t.c.

For emphasis: ALWAYS shoot from prone. Iron sights help accuracy a LOT as well.

What I like to do is find my target, THEN bring my ironsights up. The ironsights block a great deal of your view, so make sure you don't just sit there with them up, but rather switch quickly in and out of them when you find a target to shoot at. It's an aquired skill.

Also, forget about long-range engagements. Get out your pistol, you'll have a lot more luck.

I find that i can kill people faster with out useing the Iron sights. Dont know why but it seems i am more accuret when i am not useing the sights.

Maybe just spray and prone is all you need?

hes right, as soon as you see a guy, prone and fire in burst of 5-8 rounds. if hes firly close, screw the iron sights, and just spray. when sniping (it is possible) shoot 3-4 round bursts and that will get them. shoot at open windows or through the back od jeeps and humvees to kill or desroy. i have never used my pistol during a PKM game, and i get at least 30 kills at all ranges. all you need is practice, and soon the kills will rain in. use the ammo bags wisely by plasing a string of hem past allied flags or any where when the fighting dulls. dont lay them in big clumps. aim at the chest or neck area for headhots. dont let it overheat (overheats at around 40 shot left). this beast is defenatly a squad killer, just practice, dont give up if your getting raped

Ya, always prone. It only takes 2 or 3 hits to kill someone. You can still hit someone at longer ranges if you just squeeze off one bullet at a time. Should still only take 2 or 3 hits. Just aim with the top of the post in the sights.

Avoid close combat if you can. Going prone with a bunny hopping, spray and prayer can be hard to hit. The slow ROF of the PKM makes close combat tricker too. You have to have good aim. And by good I mean 15% or higher accuracy.

Set yourself up in a nice spot that looks onto a high traffic area, go prone and give 'support' to your squad (team) while they move on a cp. You have to compensate for the kick with the mouse. Fire shorter bursts of say 10 or so bullets at any one target. If you have a whole bunch of targets just let 'er rip but don't overheat. Once you've mopped up any attackers run over to help cap the flag. :)

Oh, and don't forget you have an endless supply of grenades. :)

A good support player can take out an entire squad with the PKM alone.

EDIT: I forgot about the sights. You only really need to use those when the range is farther. Experiment.

Out of all the kits and all the weapons the PKM is the only one I can use efficiently. Using it requires a completely different style. Always go prone, and always use the ironsights if the target is more that 20ft away. I often do a dolphin dive before laying into the enemy just to confuse em a little. It will only take a few shots to the upper region (or the lower if you're feeling nasty) and the enemy'll drop like a stone.

If there is more than one enemy in front of you, don't fire in burst. Keep your finger pressed down on fire until everyone is dead. Only turn to bursts if you see the temperature gauge above three quarters full.

If they are close then aim low (like crotch height) and let the recoil pull the gun up to their head.
