I thought I was going to, but lately I just not feeling it.

I looking for more of an infantry vs infantry without artillery and noob tubes etc..
I just hold my breath for a good mod.

Its not just that, im just dissapointed in Dice and EA.

No, but regardless, by the time SF comes out ill be really tired of the hopping, noobtubing and superman jumping, SF would just add to the frustration i bet.

Ill keep my eyes open on the forums when it comes out, but im not expecting to read what i like.

I am going to get Mods as well, of course, but for sheer player numbers Mods can never keeps up. I estimate that BF2 will cost me litterally fractions of a cent per hour because i show no wigns of boring of it. The Patch will bring it nicely into the expansion and i'm glad they have now fixed it. Good job DICE i have to admit i didnt expect much after the first patch but they proved all the haters wrong :laugh:

I guess some people are just too poor to shell out $30 and i shouldnt really take the **** out of them for that. ME? i am selfish and have no problem with spending a few lousy $$ on my own entertainment

Mods are played more then any expansion in the entire BF series, and more, isnt better, BF2 shows that.

And BF2 is played by more people then every game OR mod in the BF series, your point is what?? Im sorry to have to be the one the tells you this but..... more people will buy SF expansion then will play all the mods put together. I hope that dosent upset you too much :laugh:

BTW anyone else noticed that its the same 20 or 30 people that constantly bitch and cry about the DICE/EA/BF2/SF/etc, etc. I bet they are not ALLOWED to buy the expansion by their parents or something and now try and persaude other people thats its a bad idea due to jealousy.

Over 1 million people bought BF2 (prob closer to 2 million after xmas) and yet less then 100 people are moaning about it i bet DICE couldnt believe their luck, take a look over at the steam forum and see the amount of complaints there (every other thread) AND that game costs more and has less support

You need to get over yourself buddy, nobody here is trying to convince you of sh*t, we are just giving our opinions here.

Why do you think more people will play SF then play any mod? It didnt happen before, why would it now?, it didnt happen with BF1942's "Road to rome" and "secret weapons of wwII".

And whatever you say, EOD2, FH2 and POE2 will have more content then SF will ever have, and unlike Dice/EA, their devs will listen to the fans. So have fun with your imaginairy SF with "more players", its not going to happen, especially not down the line.

Well compared to BF1942's expansions, Special Forces seems like it's focusing on areas where people have real interest. Road to Rome (aka Middle of the Road to Rome) was really nothing more than Medium Tanks, Medium Bombers, and Mediocre maps. Secret Weapons added some interesting code (player controlled rockets, jetpacks, throwing knifes, etc.) and had some pretty good maps but just wasn't enough to compete with the mods the were coming out. Special Forces is going to be more infantry based, which judging by the multitude of 24/7 City Map servers there seems to be a high demand for that kind of gameplay. I think it's going to be hit, simple because people are coming from more infantry based games (CoD, Doom3, Quake3, America's Army, CS:S, etc.) and will be able to get into the gameplay more since many people get discouraged by the immense vehicle power in BF games. And there aren't any real mods out that are competing with the Expansion.

Aye, perhaps. I still think its a ripoff however, releasing a addon while the original game is still broken. And if the infantry combat (hopping, diving, noobtubing) isnt changed, no ammount of infantry city maps is going to stop me being annoyed with that, and some people along with me.
