y did they call it 2007 i dont get it... but i like it!

They called it 2007 because there was the map was originally one of the maps for BattleField 1942. So Wake Island 2007, would be the same map but it takes place over 60 years later.

This is the 1st time I ever played Wake Island.. I didn't like that map. No, I didn't get owned on it. No I don't like it cause I died alot on it(which I didn't)
I just find it plain, no coverage, sniper/camper heaven.

That's just my 1st thoughts on it.. maybe as I play it more I'll get to like it... but not likely.

Yeah I like it, it is a change from the other map's seems more tropical, far cry type, and I find it easier to use jet in that map.

To be honest, I think its the best map of all BF2.

This is because it allows you to play any and all classes and vehicles effectively.

Its a great mix of vehicles, geography and flag placement that makes for entertaining games.

Yes, you can camp and snipe using cover, yet a smart player will use the low lying beaches to sneak up and flank poorly concealed snipers with knife/pistol.

Tank whores with little real skill have been neutered by the fact that they have to negotiate narrow trails, making them vulnerable to mines hidden under foilage, c4 and ramming jeeps.

Tanks can still be used effectively IF you know what your doing and are wary of threats.

Lots of AA to counteract overpowered air assets.

There arent as many open areas as whiners would lead you to believe. If they're whining its because they are staying at the main airfield flag and not mving and hiding in cover.

I challenge anyone to find me any real flaws to this map.

its also funny that, everytime i have flown the jet, there where china people camping at the attack chopper pad, easy machine gun kills. little advice, fricken hide and then run ur a$$ off to the chopper if ur gonna wait!!!!
