I did, i was an expert at using the SA-7. Sometimes i played USA tho, and.. they didnt have it.

I like to play some FH every now and then but my "main game" is BF2. And that doesn't mean that older games are bad, especially because you can't directly compare two games.

I tried a while back and when i got in I was playing DC and it just looked lame i couldn't take it it was just so stupid to play BF42 after playing BF2

BFV is still cool in my book though i especially like playing COOP there's nothing like the feeling of owning hundreds of bots in a single game and never getting killed all while circling in a huey gunship on Game warden and listening to surfin bird

No Comparison BF1942 is way better, the gameplay has way more depth. You needed MUCH more skill to be good at BF42 compared to BF2 and the maps are much better.

None of this random bullet crap in 1942 when you got killed it felt right and the better man won. Most people prefer pretty graphics over skilled play thats why they're choosing bf2 or they must have sucked at BF42 lol.

However I wasn't overly impressed with forgotten hope it didn't feel as competitive as vanilla.

All the really good 42 players moved to BF2 yes because they were bored after playing the same game for 3 years but I just hope they remodel 1942 with better graphics BUT KEEP the same PHYSICS not the tardfest bf2 ones with some new maps - if this is somehow possible to do.

anywase, map loads ARN'T long for me and i have 512 ram, i get under 1 minute, that's very good to load a map as big as the ones in bf2.

1942 was fun for one reason the P51 Mustang it was such a great plane and fun to fly.

I wouldnt bother reinstalling it. Looking at Bf2's graphics for 4 months now Bf42's looks like ****.

These include:
- Choppiness if under 2GB ram if settings are high
- Need a high end system to get above 50fps consistently
- Rank system is easily manipulated (stat padding)
- Map load times are very long for most users
- All seeing eye and Xfire doesnt work properly
- Good jet pilots are almost impossible to kill
..and many many more.

No offense, but those are the worst reasons to get annoyed over a game.

I have a 2.4 ghz, 768 mb RAM, 9800 PRO system and I play on medium settings without any choppiness. My comp at home which is a AMD 3500, 1 gig ram, x800xt, plays on high settings without choppiness. Needing 2 GB RAM is not true, although it does help. But it is by no means "choppy". If it is, try lowering some settings. Either that, or buy a new computer.

Stat paddind is pretty enforced nowadays, good luck with that.

Map loads slow, but that is becoming more and more true with every game coming out (HL2 is another example). Its simple, better graphics = longer load time.

Xfire and All Seeing Eye are third party programs, so why blame the game?

Good pilots are tough to kill, and why is that a bad thing? If thats the case, start practicing.

Sounds like youve died too much in this game. You claim about under 50 fps to play on HIGH end graphics. However, you dont mind playing on BF1942 graphics. Why dont you just LOWER your graphic settings in BF2 then, to meet your needs? Itll look better than BF1942, even on MEDIUM settings with NO AA/AF.

I do kinda miss the zero and spitfire, the "old" looks of the game and the flak guns hmmm i swear i can smell the gunpowder

I also kinda miss the Huey, ho chi minh trail and the radios "aint got time to take a fast train"

Never played it but I think I will try to pick it up somewhere and try it out, and also BFVN.
If I like 'em, will probably play all three.
