i'm sure EA will fix it so the ranks accept a veteran badge regardless of basic badge since so many are upset about it and resolving it probably not that difficult.

to get to Master Gunnery Sergeant all you need is 50000 + Master Sargeant, no basic badges

how do you explain this? i was 62000+ points before the patch WITHOUT the aviator, knife and pistol badges. i kill a few guys after the patch, bam i get promoted to master gunnery sergeant and earn the aviator badge some time after the promotion. so now i'm missing only the knife and pistol badges, but i'm a master gunnery sergeant. the next day, i kill a guy and bam, another promotion, sergeant major and i'm still without the knife and pistol badges. don't believe me, check out my stats,

Effectively, it proves that Sargeant Major requires only the other badges -- not the basic ones that are needed for First Sargeant.

That doesnt make sense to me.

According to ubar you get promoted by earning the badges ( supposedly that is more skill ). If you have them and you dont get promoted thats a bug, its not a different ladder.

Reguardless of rank, you will never be able to get the Infantry medals because for the Combat you need all Basic Combat Badges. For Marksman you need the Combat Infantry medal and since you aren't registered for having Basic medals, you will never get any of the Infantry badges. So I am still being robbed of a rank and medals that I deserve.

I wonder if you have all your vet badges before you hit 500hrs and once you do hit that 500hr mark and you recieve your combat infantry and marksman infanty in the same round (after 34 minutes) is it only going to show the marksman in bfhq? It might if it follows the pattern of the pistol/knife bug. I also recieved my vet/exp command badges in the same round and only my exp badge shows in BFHQ.

not sure if its a bug or just server lag but i am 1500 points past gunnery sargent and i have no progress show in bar twards next rank

Yes, I am pretty past the new requirements for Gunnery Seargeant and I still have 0% on my progress toward next rank? Can anyone clear this up? I played 8 hours now post patch and no progress. Sounds weird.

I have 55,000 points and after the patch I was missing 2 badges, repair and aviator, got both and keeps sayin im promoted to seargent major but hasnt updated. Said I ranked up bout 5 times so far.

Give it time - took 2 days for stuff to show correctly for my stats - it will update...we hope.
