Improved stingers/iglas

NOT HARDLY! I was on Oman today. I had a noob in a Blackhawk hovering over the flag next to me. I had a straight shot. He hardly moved and he didn't drop flares. I shot at him 8, that's right, 8 times and they all missed. It was embarrassing and just stupid. His AH-1 came up behind me and blew me away. I was stunned at how crappy these so-called new and improved stingers/iglas are. Yeah, they are going to take down jets. Sure. They can't even take down a stationary BH from a short distance.

Yeah, it was locked on. That's why it was so stunning. It just made a crappy day even crappier.

well i still find the gla and stinger missles to be pretty accurate..i can hit most helis that are within 100 meters cuz these missiles are dang impressive
from my experience as flying the jets..these misssiles just keep coming after u and they are highly maneuvarble..in fact im more scared of thsee missles than anything else...in gulf of oman ive been hit by missiles as i am coming to the carrier and im like..where the heck did that come from

well, maybe stingers aren't that good but hell, the plane missiles do a better job now

I had a similar problem with the jet missiles last night - lock on fine, good attitude for the shot, the missiles would look good going in, and then at the last second they would miss by a few feet. Happened a lot - but only against choppers.

The AA is definitely better against jets. I've shot down a few already (probly more since the patch came out than before). But I had no luck at all firing them at BHs. Pre-patch there was a problem with the AA missiles going straight through helos without registering a hit. Maybe the problem got worse.

i think that the stingers have improved. although u still can get charged w/ team vehicle damage. even though it seems to happen a lot less now for me. i got 20 kills in a round this morning on fushe pass, using nothing but stingers and tow rockets. Boo YA!
