Glad to see it back. But here's my grumbles.

Really shows up the dominance of US helicopter power. Stupidly high armour and weaponry.

And why no interiors? Crazy - that's a step back in game development. Not forwards.

The heli dominance which wrecks every other game on Wake could be countered a little by adding Chinese to have boats - so they can escape to other flags.

Can't walk inside buildings.

I really hate that about BF2 as well. I remember some HELLA good battles in quang tri... I don't like that I'm restricted to walking around in the street... while a tank is rolling around. It has been a big gripe of mine for some time.

Wake 2007 is ALOT of fun, at least it was for me :)
The helicopters are a pain but the ability to hide in many places (as infantry).
As armour, you're screwed but I FINALLY got to take out a helo pilot with the .50 cal and it was GREAT!!!!!!

Well I had a great time on Wake last night, the US guys were actually using the Blackhawks the way they should be and not trying to whore with them. They were flying in fast and low, dropping troops off at or behind the flags, then heading back to the carrier or circling and using their guns. Made for a very interesting fight, and what with the AA, jeep mounted guns and the Chinese jets and attack helo the map was surprisingly even. It always ended up as a straight infantry battle every time I played it, no matter what server. Same on Dalian Plant, they actually used the Blackhawk to go very high and paradrop troops, since it goes high enough to evade AA emplacements.

There ARE buildings you can go inside of in BF2. You are not seeing them?

Actually, ever game I played on Wake Island last night the Chinese owned. I just jumped in the anti-aircraft turrets and shot every helicopter coming in. . . that and we had a tank in my squad and they stood no chance.

I fail to see how the blackhawk is overpowering on that map.

well i heard the in Special Forces we will be able to go inside building, climb buildings. The maps will be a little smaller, kinda like quang tri though.

You people seriously don't know there are buildings in BF2 you can go into?

i think they're just talkin about that 1 map...

in other maps, theres buildings you can go into, but theres very few of them

I think the Wake map is cool, it's simmilar to Clean Sweep but I like it better. But you are f***ed if you don't have a vehicle, you have to walk for ages until you get to another spawnpoint.

I wish they would create more old BF1942 maps for BF2!
