i find that if u stay in the same serever you get the points in it wont appear in the stats until you go play in another server then the promotion usually pops in on your first kill

No way someone like me ever gets to sargent.As for me rank means nothing but your spending way to much time playing a game.Go outside and see what your missing.

I'm a Staff Sergeant and have 8009 points, which, according to the site's list, is enough to be Gunnery Sergeant.

But alas I am stuck at Staff Sergeant and it says I have 0% progression to Gunnery Sergeant. It's been like this for about a week's worth of point gaining.

Anyone know why?

Does anyone know why all of a sudden my leaderboard stats are not updating to my global score. Usually the leaderboard stats are just a few hours behind in updating but it has been days now and the leaderboard stats are not updating at all anymore for me. ????????????????

For some reason when you have installed the v1.03 patch for BF2 the progress bar does not move, don't worry about it this is a bug in the patch as soon as you get the required points to move up a rank BF2 will promote you. :)

Just be patient - sometimes the stat servers are out to lunch.

When I started playing the 1.03 patch I was thrilled to move up three ranks in the first few minutes, and then get 3 weapon unlocks. Then I was wondering, now that I have almost 10,000 points, what's the next level, when do I get my next unlock.

I was shocked to see that Master Sergeant was 20,000 points! 12,000 higher than my current rank of Gunnery Sergeant and more than 100% of my current points.

What gives? Why make it so easy to reach Gunnery Sergeant, then so long to reach Master Sergeant?

Just thought id let u know that the global score needed for Lance Corporal is 550 not 500

You have to have all the badge requirements when you hit the 20,000 point mark for you to make First Seargent. If you get promoted to Master Seargent you cannot then get the badges and get re-ranked to First Seargent.

Glad they fixed the ranks. Sergeant Major of the Corps is not higher than a 2nd Lt. EA goofed a big one there.

I was supposed to get the valorous unit ribbon. Had all the hours for squad member and squad leader, then I got well over the 45 team points, but no ribbon.
