They've released a new version of BF2 Autoloader that works with the new patch (older versions won't work for the same reason that ASE won't work).

I'm an ASE user, but because I absolutely refuse to use the internal server browser, I've switched to BF2 Autoloader in the meantime until ASE gets fixed. It doesn't refresh as fast as ASE, but it's still quite good and leaps and bounds better than the internal server browser.

(Note: I read its a pretty important step that you enter your BF2 account info in the preferences menu, as it bypasses the login step altogether).

That auto-login feature is AWESOME. I love ASE, but I'm going to switch to BF2 autoloader due to that feature and obviously the subject of this thread. I don't understand why the login screen in BF2 can save your password yet makes you click the damn login button everytime. The vast majority of BF2 players are going to use one account on one computer and not share that computer with other BF2 players.

yep, EA ****ed us over on that. We have to use their piece of **** browser for the time being.

and it's a ****ing steaming pile of crap.

What I really love is that I am in Memphis, TN. Pretty much any game I play I get pings 50ms or less. Yet in the bf2 browser half of the servers showing up are in Europe. I never see an offical EA US server but plenty of the UK, FN ones.
