1.03: TV Guided missile doesn't highlight target with first click

What I do while co-pilot:
Single left-mouse click to pick target, tiny crosshair appears.
Space bar to fire.
If I need to redirect, single left click again to move tiny crosshair and change missile direction.
It automatically works for me that way. I didn't have to change anything.
Something i noticed is that if you:
change to TV missile and left click below 4-5 seconds (time that takes for the right weapon icons dissapear) the cross will appear and the missile will not launch.
But if wait to the icons dissapear the missile will lauch after de left mouse click.
Try this:
After this shot, stay in the TV Missile until recharge is over.
After recharge is over try to click to mark.
In my tests during the recharge in could mark the missile destination without firing it, but after the recharge completed i only could shoot direct (ie. without marking first).

Nice find, but what good is it really? How is marking the spot first and then firing the missile any better than marking the spot and firing the missile at the same time? It seems like it would be worse because it takes two actions, and more time, than the one click way. I guess you can verify your placement before firing, but with in-flight steering I don't see it as that big an advantage.

I tried it and found out that when I create a LAN game, I can indeed place the cross with the LMB and fire with another one. But using the same config in an internet game, I couldn't see the cross at all. I kept clicking the LMB and nothing, although the missile flew in that direction after pressing the other button. Very strange.

the T.V in the attack helo does not put a box around enemy's(so you have to use your better judgement b4 you press the fire button) the bombers copilot gets special missiles that are the strongest in the game. and they lock on so when you shoot you dont have to guide it.(fire and forget missiles in a way.)
Re: 1.03: TV Guided missile doesn't highlight target with first click
Anybody have more insight on this?
I was playing around with it today and I can do what LoneGunner suggested above, but I would like it so that the changes ONLY affect me while I'm in the helo gunner seat (i.e. land vehicle controls). I've tried adding extra lines in the control.con file for the 'Ok' function under Land Controls but BF2 always edits it out...
