Apart from a couple of glitchs and of course the bunnyhopping I think the patch is decent and a step forward to helping everyone integrate into BF2 a little more.

I like the patch. The reason why guys had high ranks before, is that they point farm with their clan and everyone is a medic. Pride? "I'm, a loser, I stay home all day and revive my buddy."

yeah the ranking system is ****ed up now, i coulda had all the unlocks i wanted within the first 2 weeks i had the game...they needed to lower them, but they did it way too much...

I cant really find too many bugs they fixed other than vehicle damage. I can however say for certain there sure as hell isnt over 100 fixes. I count less than 80 at the very most!.

c4 - still buggy ,
rpg through vehicles -still buggy ,
player names red sometimes - still buggy ,
server list yes finally favorites added" but still inaccurate ,
rpg splash damage doesnt exist ,
m230 "noob tube" splash damage doesnt exist
Legs can still be seen through objects

Take a second to reasonably think about why we get all the lowered rank requirements and unlocked kits?.... To get us bored enough with the current bf2 to upgrade to spec forces next month, Not much was actually fixed. ok yes we now have 6 characters that can be used before our ingame name. and a new map. whoop de doo What they should do for the next patch is patch the game. Not release a new map and some shiny trinkets like a couple new turret sounds and vehicle engine noises.
This is what a legitimate "patch" wouldve looked like:

fixed c4 not detonating when pressed, "instead released another pack of c4" ,
fixed rpg splash damage ,
fixed m203 splash damage ,
fixed rpg going straight through vehicles ,
fixed the red names appearing over teammates
fixed legs being seen through walls and objects
Fixed server browser , browser now accurately displays server statistics

Then imo i would call that a patch.
As someone in another post stated this patch in no way really should have taken more than 3 days at best - hell give or take a few for the wake island remake.

Also we dont see half of the 160+ bug fixes and tweaks promised. This was not a patch - it was a release of a new map with a couple new game features like new sound for the jeep and names for flags And giant marketing scheme to promote BF2SF!

Most of the items that were supposed to be fixed are never bothered me before.. So I dont care so much about them...

Stupid patch..

I will wait for DC... BF2 totally lost the litle charm it had..

well look i was seargent with 900 to go to staff and now i'm master? i guess the 3 unlocks and 3 badges i got today are cool but you're right where's the pride in earning it? to me the game seems better (still buggy) than it was. but i know for me and most of my clanmates we play this game for FUN, not to live ours lives through. maybe some of you should just try to have fun and kick it, instead of getting all worked up over something as dumb as a video game. just my 2 cents. did'nt intend to **** anyone off.

heh, more weapon unlocks would be good, and i like the way americas army did the offline training

as for low ranked n00b, what about us people who have lives, and less time to play eh? im decent, but i cant stay up all night and play

Not a huge fan so far, though some features are neat.

They got rid of the ability to hit your talk key when moving forward to turn on autopilot so you could pick up that lit cigarette you dropped. This has been in since BF1942 v1.1, and I don't know of anyone that had a problem with it.

It used to be nice in 1.2 to be able to maximize your map, zoom your map, or pull up the squad screen while running. It sped the game up, which is a good thing, but you now have to stop any time you want to zoom the map so you can get a better fix on that red dot.

They overcompensated a bit on the scoring, but I don't really care about that much at all.

i think its fine im not gonna complain but i hear you guys talking about how easy the rank is now. i expected maybe one new rank maybe even two if i was lucky but three unlocks and then one more if the pistol badge glitch didnt happen to me is a little bit too much imo but no complaints here other than the red name glitch and a few others they didnt fix
