The patch 1.12 notes state:
"- Sniper kits have had their primary weapons adjusted for accuracy"

Note that the M95 is not a primary weapon of any sniper kit, but rather an unlock. I would assume that the M95 is included, but when you go assuming, you only make an 'ass' of 'u' and some guy named 'ming'.

Acutally, you're wrong about the M95.

It is very much so possible to fire from the crouch and stand position without recieving any damage, although, your accuracy will far vary from when you're prone.

The M95 acutally doesn't have a hell lot of recoil. The tripod, moving barrel, and the tip of the barrel are specially designed to take away a lot of the recoil it would normally have, this together makes the weapon have about as much recoil as a 12 guage shotgun.

It should be more accurate, it should be able to zoom, and should take an enemy out in one hit. Period. Which, to answer this threads question, no it still doesn't.

I havent noticed a differene in the sniper rifiles since the new patch.

Um, u mean, the bipod, and muzzle break instead of tripod and tip of barrel.

I disagree, support pwns medic. At least for me. I havn't played medic avidly since before i got 1000 points, and back then i was one of those suicide medics (the ones who don't care about kills, the ones that just go for revives, that's the way i got my first purple heart, the second time, it was cause of spawnrapers, couldn't even be alive for 30 seconds without being killed by spawnrapers).

Ya, it's a muzzle break, and i knew u were talking about a bipod, it would be hilarious if there really was a sniper mounted on a tripod, tripods are mainly for use from GPMGs (such as the M240G, PKM, MG3 etc.) Anyways, teh muzzle break offsets much of the blast from the cartridge explosion to the side, and minimizing recoil. The reason not all guns use muzzle breaks is becuase it may make accuracy a little worse, but for the case with M82/M95/M99 series, that little accuracy offset is MUCH better than the recoil it would have without the muzzle break.

The HK PSG-1 comes with a tripod.

I know I'll get flamed for this... but could people with no precision rifle experience avoid commenting on how to make these 'sniper rifles' more realistic? I'm not directing this at anyone in particular, it's just a pet peeve.

Wonder what this will mean... With some practice, one can already shoot the balls of a fly from across the map with the M24... Also, with more luck, the others can be accurate... Sometimes, I have crazy kills with the chinese rifle/SVD, I mean from a huge distance...

About the M95: Dice's basic fault was naming the rifle M95... They could have made it a PSG-1, or the L115A1, or anything, and there wouldn't be any whining about it being too weak... Personally, I wouldn't like to see another one shot-one kill weapon in the game, the CQC SRAW and grenades are annoying enough. Though, one thing could come handy, namely if the people, who were killed with he M95, would not be revivable.

Very nice suggestion.

Someone also mentioned 1 shot kill for unarmored classes, I think these two characteristics would beef up the M95 enough.

I mean, having people *not* blown apart is a realistic catastrophe that does the game some good, but receiving a .50 cal slug to the dome and then having some clown dive on you and give you a little zap with his shock paddles for instant revival is a bit much.

I am guessing the m24 vs m95 accuracy should have been the other way around. In life the M95 has double the effective distance than that of an m24...
