Bunny Hopping?

I see this on a few servers. "We ban for Bunny hopping" I know what bunny hopping was in old FPS games, and why its not possible in this game(fall damage+energy bar) For those of you who don't know, bunny hopping was an exploit that allowed jumping great distances(Some got it to the point where they could jump over entire maps) if you timed your consecutive jumps exactly right.

On some servers they believe that jumping in close combat is "bunny hopping" and that since it makes you harder to shoot for unskilled players its an exploit.

I think this policy is complete B.S. and the servers that support it are newbie players with aiming issues. I think that if they ban for this they should also bad for moving a tank back and forth while capturing a flag to avoid people who are unskilled at setting C4. I stopped playing on these servers because the whole mindset of having the jump key to be an exploit is just complete Idiocy. Oh well, just my two cents.

This bunny hopping is absolutely stupid. And your reasoning is incorrect. If it only makes the bunny harder to hit I wouldnt have a problem with it but the bunny's aim is unaffected giving the hopper an unfair advantage. The tank driving back as an example of the same doesnt apply.
And for the record, more often than not I manage to kill these bunny hopping retards anyway. It is the hopper that is unskilled.

Hopping is great in close quarter combat, and their aim is effected, by a good bit. I do agree it is ******** if they continually jump and prone to have evasion and high accuracy, but just jumping is fine.

Jumping around is just plain dumb you have people that just seem to jump around the whole game and it gets to a point when it just has to stop. It's just stupid to see 4 or 5 guys hoping around everywhere. And what i have been noticing as i sit far away with my rifle is that there just throwing C4 and blowing it up all the while hoping around like retarded monkeys. Using it every now and then to dodge some fire is ok but using it as your only form of movement is just crap and its dumb and needs to stop...

I think the jump height and gravity in this game needs some serious fixing as nobody with that much equiptment can really jump that high, its ridiculous and jump height needs to be fixed.
Also they need to make it so as people cant jump and then prone in mid air as this is just ridiculous.

I would rather play a realistic battle than a battle verse the bunnies.

My mod that i want to make....sure bunny hopping will be a part of the game but it probably wont get anybody anywhere as i will make it so that whilst jumping, the person cannot shoot their gun.

Im sick of players running up to me and jumping around like a friking monkey, its just pathetic, especially at the height they jump, its just stupid, and when you have some sniper that has his pistol doing it to you and you just shot a friking grenade at his feet, its rather stupid that he lives and kills you.

BUNNY HOPPING IS FOR FAGS!!! Except....for when beign shot at from a distance, trying to avoid fire is fine, but using bunny hopping as an advantage is stupid.

Spot on, really pulls my chain when I hear the term "bunnyhopping" used in this manner.

To the people complaining about whoring jumping & whoring grenade launchers, stop whoring Karkand ya bunch of plamfs. There is a whole game outside the city maps, a few of you might want to try them.

I think bunny hopping should not be banned, since it's quite valid defense when you try to run into cover from a jeep, or you are getting sniped. It looks lame anyway, but try to look at it like running in zig-zag (which is not quite possible in the game)
What makes it really lame is when it's combined with noobtoobing. Fire grenade launcher, and reload while hopping.

I don't mind the bunny hopping. It's when they bunny hop and prone in mid-air while stabbing you with their knife...Impossible to kill and only take one hit with the knife to kill you!

The only time i might take to the air is when i know the other guy is going to try and use his m203 or GP30 on me, otherwise i take the lead while shooting back.
