    Re: Bunny Hopping?

A few valid points, I think it is acceptible when you are evading an unknown or more powerful foe, like for example a vehicle or a sniper. Run, jump, wiggle to survive! You are not using to get a kill, you are using to evade one.

Using it as a kill method though is just plain rediculous. I despise bunny hopping in this manner! I mean come on, you can be lying prone and following a monkey with your crosshairs unloading clip after clip into them to little or no effect, but why do they somehow seem to be able to headshot you while they are bouncing?? That's just daft.

I think the method should be kept in, but accuracy should be seriously reduced for people who are moving/jumping. That way even if they are dodging your bullets and looking stupid at least they will have less chance of hitting you until they stand/crouch/lie still!!

I find it odd that it seems like accuracy when standing, running and jumping is the same? Or am I wrong? All the deviations for the weapons seem to be prone/crouch/stand but what about extreme movement?

Of course grenades and n00b tubes would still be a problem but at least it would take away the many spec ops deaths I seem to get when I see them first, unload my jackhammer into their bouncing chest and then blam! One shot to my forehead and I'm dead.

Who cares, it's in the game, therefore a valid tactic. Just like "Black Hawk whoring", "noob tube" and what not. I don't care if I'll **** you off, I'll "bunny hop" or "dolphine dive" whenever I want.

I hate it when people respond to these issues with "who cares" style posts. First of all, you do because you are posting. Secondly, many others do as we've heard it all before.

We're all just giving ideas to enhance and balance the game, and I think we should all be constructive about it.

N00b tubing has never bothered me, so maybe that's not as common, or maybe it's just not as common on UK/Europe servers? Dolphin diving also I'm not too bothered about, as long as they don't do it repeatedly but then it's kind of bunny hopping too.

My only issue is with the accuracy. Why is is easier for them to hit you when they are bouncing around like morons than it is for you to hit them, even when you are lying prone a few feet away with a shot gun?

            Re: Bunny Hopping?

Bunny hopping is nonsense and needs to be stopped. Yes you can do it in the game, but you can also stat-pad and play around with other exploits but that does not make them legitimate tactics. Most games remove this foolishness by limiting the ability to jump by using an energy bar system to stop constant hopping. Jumping out of the way of a jeep or diving for cover would work fine, but leaping back and forth in direct view of people whilst firing quite accurately back at them is a definite no-go that needs addressed. If you want a defence against the noob-tube, try being careful and looking before you run out in the open.

I'd bunny hop in real life if it was physically possible.

The game obviously needs some of the realism removed to make it playable. . . but I just don't think the unrealistic jumping in the game is really needed and, IMO, seeing a bunch of idiots bunny hopping around is the most unrealistic LOOKING aspect of this game.

I hate running around a corner, being face to face with someone and then all of a sudden they leap over my head. I mean, seriously, WTF?

I just with there were some way to "climb" things, so the ridiculously high jump was not needed.
