I don't see why the game needs to be changed because of the ignorance of stupid people. There are enough changes for them already.

The stupid people are the ignorant commanders! Arti has no place near friendlies! Deal with it! YOU'RE WRONG.. NOT the soldiers! Stop blaming your tk's on OTHER people.. as COMMANDER its YOUR responsibility to pay attention and THINK about what you're doing..and watch how battles are going.. NOT to drop artillery on a big group of red dots when you so see fit... Every person here that complains about arti tk's.. are just bad commanders.. thats it.. end of story. Get over it and STFU!

I agree 100% but when you launch artie when NO friendlies are there then you see them charge in under the big red artie icon, it ****es me off. I do not drop artie on friendlies. All I am saying is wake up to the tools that are giving to you as a player and stop the ignorant play. I know its a game but damn, use your heads.

I have not played commander for 1sec so you cant say im saying this because i play commander :laugh:

I have seen countless idiots run into arty as soon as the icon comes in the minimap and to me it seems they do it on purpose and im not talkiing about 1 or 2 people but more like 6,7,8 peeps at a time.

They were running in the other direction and then turned and ran straight in to where arty was being dropped(stupid) im glad they have taken away the punish for arty tk's maybe we will see an improvement concerning arty drop tk's

maybe they did that because the commander was a DUMBASS and wanted him to be kicked... I do that myself when theres a bad commander that wont resign... and i know others do too.. sometimes enough is enough.

The last time i saw this happen was yesterday and the commander was doing a great job.

Shame on you for doing this thing it;s so sad and childish, when will people learn that there are still people learning how to be an effective commander

There is... its the lovely HUGE red throbbing icon that takes up 1/3 of your minimap and the voice that rips through your coms saying "Artillery, your area"..

sometimes that is not enough. in a 64 player server, especially on an intense map like karkand, the average player has less focus on the minimap and more on the fighting. and with 32 players on one team there are lots of radio commands being broadcast and often the "artillery, your area" is muted because of this. even more so is that if your on chinese or Mec, unless youve got english only voice overs, its hard to tell which command is the artillery warning. so i think a warning should come up at least on the 3d map because with 3d map being on by default, players shouldnt miss it

Yeah.. they're learning to be REAL effective while they're running around in firefights and tooling around in a tank or apc.. or hell.. even suicide car bombing! ... real effective way to learn! i only see like.. 1 out of 20 commanders actually go take refuge somewhere and FOCUS on their chosen "job" seeing a commander running all around the map ****es me off to no end! as a GOOD commander you can EASILY place 1st without leaving your hiding spot.. instead these morons like to run around and try to kill people.. and ya know what? they never score above 30! there seriously needs to be some kind of regulations besides a "higher rank" to be commander

I agree...like a certain combination of rank, badges, and teamplay ribbons to be commander.

You just need to learn timing...or not even use arty at all. On packed servers, most times you are better off not to use arty at all. Too many TK's and not enough enemy kills to make it worth while.

At least in the new patch you will not get punished for those TK's - but your team will still lose tickets and they will all get registered deaths.

yep absolutley right in fact i think somthing else should be added too the new patch when a team mate is tk'd from frinedly arty and they hit the punish button rather than it just not doing anything it should automatically deduct them 5 points :)

OK when a commander is about to rain artie down on you, get out of there. Man I was playing commander yesturday and I see a spot that needs a barrage. I set it off, the ICON appears on everyones map and I then see my own team vehicles and troops running in. blam I kill everyone. Happens all the time! If people would pay attention to their mini maps more then you would see your running into artie. Wake up

I don't think anything needs changing except the people running into friendly artillery, every time I can hear the "artillery your area" message and every time I hear that I look at the minimap and then move to s safe perimeter distance.
I don't see why the game needs to be changed because of the ignorance of stupid people. There are enough changes for them already.

Not true, you will still get -2 points for tks just no punish points. Plus if you play to win, I hate killing my own guys because of their stupidity.

This must be a joke, because I fail to see how the patch is going to improve arty drops, if anything(IMO)it will make the commander care-less. Commander does a "Scan", sees massive red dots around 5-6 teammates, calls in Arty. Kills all his Teammates, but kills 10 Enemy aswell, do you see this as an improvement in Arty Drops? I don't, and atleast before the patch the Commander would be concerned about getting kicked etc for TK's, now he won't be.

No, I certainly don't see this as an improvement.

I'm sure they are changing this to ensure that people will still actually WANT to play commander after the patch...after all, Spec Ops will be all over the commander assets a heckuva lot more than they already are.
