Wow thinks im looking in at that...
On another note, what about this place. Seems to be ligit but it takes forever to get the item, i should know i have been waiting for 2 months on the x800 and there are only 4 people in the list so far.

You buying from ABS, if so I would just call them and most likely they will get on it right away, the customer service is really good, not people from india. I got my laptop in about a week. And when I saw that I didn't recieve my bag with it I called and they sent that over to, no charge on shipping.

The bag was on backorder when we purchashed the laptop.

Runs great. I posted a while back about BF2 freezing. Found out it was the hard drive starting to fail (its a dell, what can i say) Switched it out for a Hitachi 7k60 and no problems. game settings set to 1900x1200 with combinations of high/med and two lows 2xAA in game settings. great bang for the buck IMO.

Heat is not an issue at all. GPU 65deg F CPU 48deg F while playing BF2. even play bf2 on top of the comforter/bedsheets which slightly to moderately restricts airflow, but have no problems as of yet. been playing since 07/30/05. so far so good.

i have a 9300 too. i have it all specs max'd for 1200 shipped. its called using the 40% weekly coupon . still a tad bit more expensive than a comparable desktop (i got 80gig HD and 6800go, 1.2 gig ram etc)but portability (semit at least with this 17" beast, but its only 8 pounds) is a big plus. runs bf2 without a hitch at high res's

Unless there was a hefty hefty price drop, I cant see you getting it maxed out.


I ordered mine in March when it came out, and with the 35%(that %5 extra doesnt attribute to $300) it still came to $1500.

I love playing on a laptop. And yes while you can buy a sweet ass rig, a laptop is just nice and portable (for those that need it). If you sit at home all day or night dont get one.

On a personal rant I have the hp zd7000....it looks F'n sweet, but its the biggest POS, well if you dont change the year old graphics drivers it works fine. Its had to go in to the HP shop twice! Hp pulled it off there site but wont admit anything wrong. I heard the zd8000 have fixed alot of the problems, I would worry (get the extended plan, trust me)

my brother just bought a 2500$ antec laptop and the game doesnt run that great, on low graphix it runs fine but the visuals are glitchy and its not as good as playing on a normal computer hands down.

i had zv6131. it was great laptop but it couldnt handle bf2 well, i had everything on medium and was lagging a bit.
well, 10days later window crashed, that F***er wont even reboot lol
they gave me the money back which i will ever i mean never spend it on Hp/compaq products. but i see you having fun on yours which cost so much more than the one i used to have...anways
good luck but i heard HP product does have so many problems you can't imagine.( hope it doesnt get you in the future!)
when i get a laptop im only going for IBM, of course not for gaming purposes.

just my 2 cent.

I run bf2 medium high, I cant run it any higher till i get another 1gig stick of RAM.

BF2 runs smooth as butter

well, i will give you good remarks if you use the onboard touch mouse, but im sure you dont. laptops arent anymore disadvantaging than PC's playing wise, maybe performance wise...

i have a gateway got it for 1000 dollars and the only thing had to add more memory and it runs great
