So say my global score is 20,000 right now, and if there is a new rank at 15,000...whenever I patch the game and log on, will I be promoted to that rank at 15k and get another unlock?

you didnt get any of those points in the blackhawk by the way did you? i hear that can lead to a hardware ban as well!!

For some reason I was re-earning a bunch of badges and ribbons last night, it was actually quite annoying having that crap pop up a bunch of times in one game.

the badge requirements being lowered will probably end up being significant because first sgt requires all the basic combat badges and sgt maj requires all the basic badges. quite a few players with around 30k points won't get 1st sgt immediately because they don;t have all the basic badges.

i believe some of this was explained in a thread that i cant be bothered to find for you all..

one of the testers told us about all the stuff... his rank isnt at 30k the reductions arent that much its just glitches and changes that they are fiddling around with

based on the ranks of people who have tested the new patch and their global scores, these are my educated guesses for the rank requirements in 1.03:
250-pfc
500-lance cpl
1500-2000-cpl
3000-4000-sgt
5000-staff sgt
10000-gunnery sgt
20000(?)-master sgt/ 1st sgt
I don't have any idea what the upper two will be because nobody who has played the patch had higher than 30k points, but I might guess
50k and 100k
