I've had one from Falcon Northwest and my brother still has one. They are very good computers. But, you can build them yourself for a better price and have the same specs.

Ask around and go with brands that can be trusted, don't go for the cheapest manufacturer just cuz you want to save a buck or two. If you don't plan on overclocking your computer, you don't have to have the most kick ass Corsair or Kingston ram available then, check out their value/bargain line and you will get a solid stick of ram at a bargain price. NewEgg is a great place to look for parts and reviews, they probably have one of the largest inventories online for PC components. Check out TigerDirect also.

Nowdays, building your own computer is almost hard to mess up, for the most part, just read the motherboard instructions and follow it to the bone if it is your first or second time doing it. After a while, you can put a system together from scratch and have all your software and **** installed in two hours or less.

The only reason you should buy alienware is if you're rich and know 0 about computers. Building one yourself is fast and easy and you'll get the same or better than you'll get from a large company, usually better because you're not paying 5 grand for 1200$ in parts haha.

I have bought from them, and have NO complaints at all. They built my system very quickly, don't charge sales tax, and have free shipping on all systems. I got mine in about a week after ordering.

companies like alienware are very good, but very expensive, you can save yourslef a lot of mony by putting your pc toghter yourself, OK, you may encounter some probs, but it's tons cheaper.

yes dell and alienware own, if you want to get ripped off anyways.

save yourself a ton of money and build it yourself. If you dont know how its not that hard to learn. I learned how to build a comp in about 10 min.

so, go to newegg.com. get parts. build it yourself. save 50% or more in cost. be happy

try going to some place local that way you can talk to some one. and if it ever breaks for any reason you can bring it back in person

I'd have to agree that building your own rig is the best way to go. Not only is it cheaper than most pre-built systems but you can get exactly what you want...

This is my 4th Gateway Comp. Never had any problems, crashes or squat (except for a few minor things which goes with owning a computer....lol). Of course by now I am fairly edept at computers so my next one will probably be done myself. Gateway was nice for the tech support, never was on hold for but a couple minutes any time I called them. The only minor problem is that their towers & alot of the stuff in them are Proprietary. Which means that you usually have to buy their stuff for upgrading. Of course, if you are like me, which is very mechanically inclined. And have power tools, Its no big deal. I bought my last one almost 2 years ago. I have upgrading alot since then being that I am a hardcore gamer. Everything I have upgraded has NOT been through gateway since my warranty ran out. It runs like a champ. I upgraded Vid card(from geforce fx 5200 to ATI X850XT), 400w power supply, 1gig pc3200 from 512 pc2700, Another extra HD. What I did when I ordered it was call Gateway & say "I know what I want & I want a good deal because I am calling Dell after I get a price from you & if Dell can't beat it I will be calling you right back". Then Call Dell & say the same thing. Dell couldn't even touch the price that Gateway quoted me for the same exact specs.
