*snip* All who think players shouldn't use the sniper class. Its a game. Its meant for fun and recreation. If someone likes camping and using the sniper, let them why do you care?If its fun for him, why should he stop playing sniper?

IMO the people who say "No one should ever play sniper" are ignorant people who need to realize this game is about fun and not anything else. If you really want teamwork,no bunny hopers, no noob tubers, no snipers, no people tking you for vehicles, go join the army and stfu.

I love snipering just lieing down in a tower picking people off who are unaware of the danger up above, as the medics run over revive them, they get brought down. That is why the M95 is my next unlock.

I happen to think that a sniper plays an important role for your team. You may need to taker out a threat or two from blowing up a tank or chopper. You may need to help clear a path for your team mates, disrupt a potential ambush etc. Snipers are very useful.

Here is my blanket response to all of the snipers who have replied:

Not one of you have addressed the key point - that your style of gameplay could be better fulfilled by another kit.

In choosing a different kit, you will be able to maintain (or exceed) your previous effectiveness as a "sniper", but also gain the ability to help your team in many other situations that, as a sniper, you could never contribute to.

Um, we play it because its FUN? Its a game get over it. I can do whatever is fun to me. If someoen likes playing sniper, why shouldn't they?
Whats the point of playing Assault? Assault has as much sense to it as a sniper. All it can do is kill.A medic is essentially an assault with use in a squad.
You wrote like an english essay on why people shouldn't play snipers...

imo those snipers you see on top of the cranes and buildings, those snipers you see runing from flag to flag, those snipers you hear firing off rapid shots like they are having a seizure and cant control there mouse. those are not the snipers you should be worried about, its the ones that you never hear, the ones that you never see. when you see that blackhawk coming down and you run for a 50 cal to score an easy 6 kills, when you go to hide after planting your road side bombs to ambush some poor unsuspecting tanker, just to be killed by a snipers bullet, a sniper who has been watching you, waiting for you, waiting for just the right moment to kill you. those are the snipers you should fear, those are the snipers that want nothing more then the hunt, points do not mater to those snipers. and to those snipers I tip my hat.

I'm gonna have to agree with ||ass||variable 100% too.
Too many rounds I play where almost half the team are snipers and do **** all to help take flags or contribute effectively on the ground, instead they are sunbathing on top of cranes admiring the view through their rifle.

LOL I feel your pain pirate. Im gonna have to agree, i only play sniper class when im bored/lazy. Other then that snipers dont do jackschit.

Actually I responded as to why it has no place in a "squad-based" action game but he chose not to respond because my answer proves him wrong.
He just likes to answer to the dumbasses who read only the title....

In a sense you were agreeing with him, so why would he have to comment on it. Anyway, it was a good rant session for a while but I fear Variable has pulled out most of the hair on the side of his head by now.
