Well....that parent has more problems ahead other than "OMG, junior just said the 'F' word."

Two kids have a fight over who gets to play PS2 and Jonny goes and grabs a frying pan, so let's leave the wholesome experience nonsense out of this.

    FYI, I'm 37 and have a 2 and 4 year old.
This is the first post that has made sense on these forums in MONTHS!

        Heres a question.

You have a friend who has children. now, for whatever reason, this friend does not want his child hearing swearing at home. You go round to his house. you are a guest. do you swear in front of the child?

simple yes or no will suffice.

Yes... I swear... then he gives me that "DOOD!?!?!" look...

and I say "oops... sorry." then I dont do it again.

... he DOESN'T come up to me and kick me straight the hell out of his GD house without warning.

your right that a warning is a good idea and i wanna look into an addition to our script to do that but we warn all the time.

Its kinda disappointing for your friend tho that his friend hasnt got enough self-control to be capable of respecting his wishes or thinks its ok to push it to the final warning before its a problem.

dude, your under the impression that we dont understand your point. we do.. we just happen to have our own point of view and choose to do things our way and not yours. thats what your more angry about. you think we should base our actions on your opinion.

a wise person would respect this and simply choose another server. but you choose to attack and moan about something you clearly cannot do anything about. do you think that by moaning in here, its going to change anything? i don't. I believe im probably wasting my time typing. but hey, ive got a few spare minutes.. the kick script is keeping the offensive language of my server so i dont need to watch it as much as i used to. people are happily playing and not arguing or deliberately team killing. :)

unfortunately, some people are gonna have a different opinion to you and at some point you will learn to accept it. for now, your just gonna attack and whine which is fine. Its keeping some of us entertained.
Where did I say I play there so let me swear, cuss, blah, blah? You can't even answer a simple question. If your only argument is "I just think it's bad" well...umm...I don't what to say to that. Now to say that I need to accept it? Nah I don't. You do not have to accept mine either. Have you looked at a non-script/filter server and seen no tk's or arguments? If not then STFU about how your way is the way crap. I bet if you look there are server's with no scripts/ filter's that have no problem's as well as your scripted/filtered server's.

Answer the question or just be the mush brain "I just think it's bad" guy.

                I need clarification;

Do the children in the house know how to read chat on screen and are they playing BF2 while I would be swearing or not swearing ?

My Yes or No will certainly follow.

                Oh, almost forgot one thing......

Please list every word this 'friend' considerers a swear word.

Since the topic has nothing to do about swearing on a server and more to do with servers that have their own unpublished ideas about what constitutes foul language. Words that most reasonable people would not agree with.

if the topic is about that, why is everybody arguing about their right to impose their rules on other ppls servers? i cant recall reading anybody saying they think secret rules are a good idea.

Re: Foul language servers getting out of hand.

Okay this is getting boring now. Look, we all agree that the admins of server X did a crap job of explaining their rules of acceptable behaviour. They definitely should have been more specific about what constitutes a kickable offence. Surely noone is still moaning about how strict the rules are? Their server, their rules, it's not hard.

What is more interesting to me is whether or not this server was actually a good one ie. are the games more fun in this server when compared to others on average? It appears the OP certainly felt pretty disappointed about being kicked - perhaps this means the game was better than average? OP, do you have a comment on this? Perhaps the tight restrictions on language drove away all the kiddies and griefers and TKers who like abuse others and swear, leaving just the players who want to play.

In that case those among us who actually want to play BF2 rather than just some weird verbal oneupmanship through name-calling could seek out these no-swearing servers.

It is their server and they have the right to do with it as they please. If you do not like their choice of rules, you are more than welcome not to play there.
Damn, I thought I locked this earlier.
