Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
its not a BUG!!! its jsut when a friendly get out of his vehicles that is appears as an ennemy cause the vehicule is hot! test it for ur won and you will see its not a bug...its realistic and should not be removed from the patch....advise: check the mini-map before bombing.
well maybe EA wanted to simulate vehicles heat while people bail out of them and insert a certain time before it dissipate. so while i pilot for example and see a suspect not-moving ennemy target icon, i check my mini-map and see my teamate got out of his tank to repair it...so i pull up and keep my 2 bombs for someone else.
since i did a lot of TK this way i am now used by experience to see whether or not it is an ennemy vehicle and/or stationnary air/ground defense before bombing or shooting.
(i usually use more my jet minigun to take out an anti-air defense it just take 2shot to kill someone but take a joystick)
anyway, even with my 12:1 K/D ratio, if you dont belive me, test it, i promise what im saying is right.
Perhaps you miss the entire point of the hud putting an X over friendly targets and not enemies - its so you KNOW it is an enemy without having to consult a minimap, the hud, scoreboard, other teammates and the pertinent star charts for everyone on the server. Why are you verbally assaulting someone for validly complaining about faulty IFF code? Is your penis really that small?
If you thought that me telling him to check his minimap before dropping bombs was verbally assaulting someone, then apparantly you are a ****in retard. Now that is me verbally assaulting someone.
If you had watched the video I posted up, maybe you would understand how the hud works in bombing mode.
Let me phrase this for you in words, seeing that your too ignorant to watch a video that is less than 20 seconds long, I'll even do it in caps and bold letters for you, so that you don't miss it.
WHEN YOUR TEAMMATE IS IN THE DRIVERS SEAT OF THE VEHICLE AND EXITS THAT POSITION IN THE VEHICLE, THE HUD WILL DISPLAY THE VEHICLE AS AND AN ENEMY VEHICLE FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS OR UNTIL HE GETS BACK IN THE DRIVERS SEAT OF THE VEHICLE.
IF YOU WOULD CHECK YOUR MINIMAP BEFORE YOU MAKE A BOMBING RUN, YOU WOULD KNOW WHETHER OR NOT THERE IS INFANTRY IN THAT BASE, WHICH DO NOT SHOW UP ON RADAR BY THE WAY, THEN YOU WOULD SAVE YOURSELF FROM GETTING ALOT OF UNNECESSARY TEAMKILLS.
Wow, that was a startling revelation, wasn't it. Maybe now you can pull your E-Penis out of your ass and get on with what you call your life.
Now watch the damn video like I told everyone to do in the first place, you can view it here: The Goddamn Video
I don't want to sound arrogant or anything, but I don't think I've ever bombed a friendly vehicle while playing BF2, and that says a lot because I fly a hell of a lot too. All you have to do is quickly check your minimap as you fly over an area before you bomb, just a glance, and there really isn't any worry. Maybe for you (or anyone else for that matter) it is difficult, but for me at least I find it easy enough.
It also helps to have a general idea of what is going on in the battle when you're flying. I am almost always the Squad Leader when I play BF2, so I am constantly checking the UAV scans, radio "Spottings" and my team's flag situation while I am flying just so that I know what is going on in the area before I bomb. It sounds like a lot to keep track of, and it is at times, but if you just 'keep your wits about you' (as they say) you'll do a lot better as a pilot, rather than flying like a rogue, going after whatever targets you feel like. I always listen for "Enemy armor spotted" or "Enemy APC spotted" calls to see what I should go after, it really helps in keeping my own team's armored situation on the move.
That said, I do fly a lot and have been since DC .1 came out so maybe I just have too much experience. You really don't have to 'dive bomb' to be accurate in BF2, it's all about timing, airspeed-to-target estimation (Yea I made that up) and I guess some sort of natural inclination with regards to physics and motion. You just have to know when to drop the bombs and at what angle. It takes a bit of practice but I didn't find it that hard after a few weeks of playing the demo. Just keep working on it and you'll get it, then maybe you can quickly glance at your minimap before you bomb like I do.
well i mean vertical bombing is only usefull for precision bombing when there is lot of teamate an ennemy at the same place at the same time. saves all TKs. peraps it would be fun if i could talk to you just to see if there is a possible challenge between you and me
