example: you and your squad are defending a CP.

The medic on the squad prepares for action, tossing a few bags inside defendable locations. The position got overrun after a valiant, but short struggle. He did not throw them there 'for the enemy', propably, when he throws a bag, at least one squad member/rogue wolf was at the scene helping with the defense. But, chances are the enemy picks it up..

let's say, one teammate picked up a health (wether or not he was effective is beside the point so I won't go there), and, after the dust settles, 2 enemys 'profit' from the medbags.

That's 2 opponents who aren't adding points to their team's medics (or supports) :)

and you can't allways be sure an enemy squad WILL have a medic or a support but usually.. so they'd have gotten healed/supplied anyway, wether by you or by them!

If you wait to toss medpacs till the grenades are exploding around you, you KNOW you're in trouble, lol..

The only 'bagtossers' that annoy the living daylights out of me are the ones who keep tossing them at your head, usually while jumping, when you're trying to infiltrate behind enemy lines.. that sound of their voice seems to carry for 100 meters :s

Nah. Any intelligent medic never throws packs when on the attack anyway, due to them pointing out your position to the enemy. If you were to punish medics for leaving stocks of packs at bases for defenders then there really wouldn't be any time when they were useful, other than a friendly stood directly in front of you in need of health (and then there's no guarantee that he won't just run off like a cretin and leave it).

In this case, it would just be easier for medics not to use the packs at all. Which would attract even more complainsts than frivolous medipack use.

I wish it were this way.

Sometimes I throw grenades at enemies, and find I kill a friendly. I did not mean to do it, but I do not complain about losing points for the team kill. If EA decided to not count teamkills with grenades I could simply say "okay, there are two friendlies up there and one enemy, I'm going to throw a grenade, and get 2 points (1 kill)" I was actually harming my team by doing so, yet still earning points.

And yes, the enemy picking up your med packs does stop you from getting points, but dieing also stops you from getting kills, so should we take away kill/death ratios from our stats and change them into simply kill counts?

And yes, an enemy may have a medic in their squad. An enemy may also get killed later on in the game, so why not take away kill points right? There are surley more enemies around in this game than friendly medics.

Not true, it would just work like a weapon. You need to think before you click the left mouse button.

One thing that I think is funny is that I can see the icon about the medic pack if a opfor lays it on the ground.

I had this opfor spam some packs before attack a flag I was guarding. I saw the little icons appear. I ran up and dealt with him.

So, to all you medics and support that like to spam your packs don't cause you opfor can see the icons and it will give away your position.

Re: Negative points if the enemy picks up for first aid/ammo bag

Well, go ahead and give us medics negative points for "recklessing strewing packs about". Then watch medics never throw another pack again.

Even if a medic throws her packs carefully, which I usually do when I don't just run up and hold it, how many ALMOST DEAD players run right past them? ((this happens to me frequently)) How many more incompetent fools would trip over one of their own grenades or something, killing themselves and leaving your precious medic pack in the path of the on-coming enemy? =P

Medics would lose all reason to become team players, opting to run to the front lines for a 2 point kill and healing only themselves rather than run the risk of dropping a pack for +1 point.

Re: Negative points if the enemy picks up for first aid/ammo bag

I totally agree.. If I'd get punished for trying to help you can bet that tight arse of yours I'm NEVER tossing a bag again, unless in a very safe zone and on top of a grieveously wounded squaddy.

and even that may become scarce, after all, right as I'm tossing the bag we both could get killed by artillery, and we'd be *gasp* helping the enemy!

Comparing left-over medpacks/ammobags to TK's is just downright short-sighted, showing only a lack of real arguments and falling back to comparing lemons and bananas.. they're not even CLOSE to being compareable.

I have seen people throw grenades on allmost secured CP's with no enemy for 75 meters around. why ? because they wanted full credit for capturing a flag or because their parents are brother and sister.

I have seen people mine off their own uncappable main time and again, just to be griefers and help their 'clan' mates who played the other side win.

What I have never seen is an allied medic/support who tosses ammo or a medpack to an enemy.. well.. unless that one time when I was really tripping and thought I was still spec-op
