I think this would be a good idea. This way, just dropping ammo packs everywhere won't get you points.

IIRC, enemy health packs do not appear to you. Same with enemy ammo bags.Comment

Why ? your team should not be that stupid of trowing those med packs or support packs all over the map.Originally posted by DLWebmaestro96Enemies shouldn't be able to pickup or even see enemy health packs and ammo packs.
But, I don't find it that it should be punished when an enemy takes the kit, as said above, it's already a punishment the enemy having 100% health againComment

Yeah, it would be stupid idea for cowardly, no-skilled stat padders like you who gains points by selecting the med pack and clicking the mouse like a poorly trained, brain-dead chimpanzee, while wracking up points regardless of whether more health is being provided to you or the enemy. What a stupid idea, i take it you never play as medic?
That's as valid as saying you don't need kill points because getting an enemy off your back for 15 seconds and causing the other team to lose a ticket is reward enough.Re-filling an enemy's health is punishment enough.Comment

Puglous, I really think you're over-dramatizing and insulting.. I mean, I play medic sometimes, too, and I will toss bags if it seems a prudent place to do so.. what? does that make me public enemy number one, or what?
maybe you don't like it when a medic saves your behind or keeps you healthy but I can sure tell you that remarks like this thread make me think twice before trying to aid you.. after all, wouldn't want to stat-pad , now would we?Comment

Re: Negative points if the enemy picks up for first aid/ammo bag
I don't think playing as a medic is stat padding, but what Night was saying is that it was a stupid idea (that was his word choice) because he plays medic. In other words, he'd get a lot of negative points because he often puts them in places where the enemy could get them and really doesn't care as long as he can get points when friendlies run them over. If you want to heal someone on your own team, that's not stat padding. As I've said in many threads, stat padding is when you earn points even though you aren't helping your team. If just as many enemies are picking up his med packs as friendlies, he's not helping the team. He could heal 10 friendlies and 10 enemies, and get 10 points, while someone else could heal 3 friendlies and 0 enemies, and only get 3 points. Clearly unfair and I'm sure he knows it which is why he'd hate to see the game have a fair scoring system.Comment
