also..does lower quality graphics mean better game performance cuz my graphics card is weak. I just looked at the player models on dayofdefeat.com and they look very plain..thought they would add more textures

It was a mod once. This is a total revamp. That costs money to do (professional artists and such).

The moment the rights to DoD were sold to Valve, it ceased to remain a mod.

Nope.

Exited first server wit a 23:50 went on to get a 102:20 and a 77:32 on the next servers. Just give it time.

Man bf2 is a great game and all but DoD source just blows it out of the way you guys should go get it. I mean dod the original game i think is better than bf2.

DoD is the original HL mod. They were working on it way before CS was even conceived. I was talking to the creator the other day and he was royally depressed because he said, "We had to give our baby away" Obviously referring to selling the rights to DoD to valve for the development of source.
