Day of Defeat: Source Out

TO make a long story short: I got dod source because i bought the hl2silver package on steam. IMO dod source is very very low quality. The graphics are either late 90's quality or the texture colors are crazily bright for a ww2 game. I decided to play through this for the fun of the game until i could no longer stand looking at a block for a hand with a block of a gun sticking out of it. I picked up a rifle and zoomed in..... horrible horrible I will take out the trash come back and post some pictures. The graphics are amazingly low low quality , the sounds are also amazing low quality , gameplay may be fun but if it doesnt look good imo i cant keep playing it. Maybe thats why im a bf2 addict - plays great , and looks great.
I had a server full of people responding the same way so Im curious as to what anyone else whos picked this up has to say.
o - also im running xp3200+ 1.5gig ram x800xl 256mb running everything maxed , reflect all, hdr lighting , runs faster than diarrhea just such poor quality of a game , My heart goes out to the players who eagerly were awaiting this foolishness.

DOD:S is out, I have played it, and it is wonderful. Was hosting a great 16 player server but minutes ago...I now have something to play while waiting for EA to fix battlefield 2.

That HDR thing has quite the powerful effect... I'm too flabbergastered each time I stop and look to even shoot back at an enemy...
