Re: Jet Jockeys are taking over
Here's some things I would point out. A jet cannot capture a flag. A jet can not be effective unless your troops are clustering so that a bomb takes out five guys in an APC. A jet cannot effectively hurt you if you get under cover. There are ways to win even when a good pilot is unopposed by your pilots.
Take to the hills. Neutralize a flag - fan out, the jet is coming. He drops his load, come on back and finish the job. If he takes out only one infantry with each bomb, you're going to do better than if you're all riding in a lone APC across the desert like a damned fool.
Spot, spot, spot. The half second a teammate can gain by seeing the incoming jet is enough time to bail. You will also create a real possiblity for your trainee pilots to distract the guy and help rebalance the air war. Having the aircraft light up on radar is a big help.
I get as frustrated as anyone when I'm eating a 1000 lb bomb every 60 seconds. But the key is to recognize the situation and adapt to it. Many flags have bunkers, you've got a decent chance there. Use the cover.
I'm sure others have far better ideas on how to handle the situation than I do.
