I need a Medic/Ammo!

Very SIMPLE tip I never realized til today. I realize many of you probably know this. I kindly don't want to hear from you if that's the case.

Anyway, using the commo rose (the Q button by default) to broadcast "I need a Medic!" or "I need Ammo", or "I need Repairs" will highlight all medics/supports/engis on your minmap with the appropriate symbol. Very helpful when you need it.

Yeah it also tells them you need help from them. However i found most times, that they do not care. So you have to haphazardly chase after them for support and usually this results in death for me. So i have chosen to still call out to them but realize i probably won't get there help.

Well, since most medics and supports are gratuitously dropping health and ammo bags everywhere to rack up points, its at least good to know if one is near you on the mini map.

Though playing medic will automatically show you anyone below 50% health on the minimap and on your screen, if you're above 50% health and still need a medic, this is the best way to get their attention.

Of course, on pub servers, the medic/support guy will ignore you about 90% of the time, as healing is only 1 pt, while reviving someone is 2.

Well, you thought incorrectly. By default server values (which all ranked servers are required to use), reviving will net you 2 teamwork points.

Heh, I'm usually medic and I ALWAYS respond to whoever calls for help (unless they're at the other side of the map, of course).

It's so easy to rack up points healing teammates... I just have to constantly remind myself that I'm not some Assault/Sniper/ninja because the Medic upgrade has a deceptively cool scope...and not much else. =(

A tip for support/medics, if a guy have lost like one health bar / one clip of ammo, throw a bag on him and you will get 1 point. instead of being nearby and get points succesive.

I think you guys missed the point of my first post... Not only does saying "I need a medic" get their attention, it shows YOU where they are on your minimap, so you can go to THEM.

Yeah. The same thing happens when you die and call for a medic. Medics will show up on your minimap, and arrows pointing to near medics will appear on your screen.

Yeah it would be nice if they would actually come to you when you callf or them :evil:
