It has nothing to do with actual rank but if he has a higher commander score and more hours, if you guys are waiting for the round to start he will win the commander position.

It has everything to do with rank, that's one of the only perks of having a higher rank, with the exception of a new weapon.

Maybe the login server wasn't working properly, It happened to me once and when I looked at the scores I didn't have my rank or weapons.

I hate when i apply for commander and it says that,and then the commander sucks and doesn't do anything except artillery all day with no uav or supply drops

Well, you could always grab a buttbuddy with less global points than you ,but higher commander points than you also and test it out

Trust me dood. I'll say it again, Rank does not matter when people apply to be commander RANK does not matter. If a Private first class with more points as commander and more time then a person with a Sergant rank the guy thats Private first class will get it. OK! its been confirmed and has happened to me several times. You have no clue what your talking about and im Sergant about to be Staff Sergant.

I think this happens when someone applies before you do, gets offered the job, but hasn't pressed page up yet. You can still apply, but if they take the job you get rejected. They need to set up a new message for that situation instead of the "higher rank" one.
