Lately i have come across a few times when i will shoot someone from maybe 20ft away or so only to be TK punished. Do you know why, because they didnt have the usual blue or green letters for their name but instead had red. Also just as enemy units appear, the only time his name showed up was when i pointed my crosshairs at him. WTF? I have had this happen more than once. EA needs to release this patch SOON, cuz these little things are really ****ing me off and making the game a pain in the but. What am i supposed to do, walk up to every person and press tab to find their name on the enemy list and then shoot them? This must be fixed. Im using XP X64, but i dont see how that could have anything to do with it.

I have had the same problem, and the first time i saw that it said that i was punished for a teamkill.It really ****ed me off to because it brings me down a lot of points.So I just tell by the uniform that he is wearing, but it is really hard to tell from a far way.
I have no idea why the game does this, but EA games better fix this problemComment

yeah, i did that too, guy was in a air defence thingy and his name was read.....so i shoot him and kill him. Message comes up saying not to hurt teamates. Little bit later, the guy respawns and goes to same spot.....same thing happens and i shoot him again and he dies. Then i got kicked from the server.....it sucked.Comment

I got killed by my squad leader last night. Thinking he was a SmackTard, I punished him. When I respawned on him and he was taking shots at me I dove for cover and asked in Squadchat if I was showing up red. He said yes. This is when I realized he got bit by the bug so i applolgized for punishing him. After that we commenced kicking ass. I just made sure he was aware of my position at all times. The funny thing was I was showing blue to the enemy so we were racking up the points. Kind of a cheap shot at the other team but I was trying to make up for the points I cost my squad leader.Comment

I dunno I spent the whole game getting tked by one guy claiming my name was red, yet no one else did, and whenever I respawned he'd shoot me again, so just punihsed him every time and waved goodbye.Comment

yeah ive experiende that friendlies dressed as enemy and/or there names in red over them its damn annoying i have got mant a tk because of it. And they tend too punish you too because to them it looks like you blatently walked up to a friendly and blew him away.Comment
