bf2 amp didn't even have an installer. I didn't notice any media gateway ad server, but where would it be since I dont see it in add/remove programs?

Yes I removed the post temporarily to investigate wether the author made a mistake or not, however I haven't recieved a response from him yet. If it is resolved, the post will be re-posted.

Honestly.. I have not clue as to what you guys are talking about. My "install" file was 2 files.. a DLL and an .EXE that ran the app (no installer).

Doesn't really matter.. I use the keys on my keyboard anyways lol.

I too wonder what those guys are talking about...
Is there any evidence that you can post regarding the spyware it installed? It's easy to accuse, but I'd like to see some sort of evidence.
The gamesound did crash a couple times, or got stuck on the same sound loop over and over again. But else it worked very well.

And with the keys on your keyboard you cannot adjust music volume independent from global game volume... so no, keyboard is not an option.

BF2amp = scam... it may work . but whats going on in the background after uve accepted teh terms and use agreement is whats the problem.. not hte actual BF2amp script. media gateway crap... HEY HEY lets spread annoying spyware.

Its like saying that there is spyware when you "install" this graphic.

its an EXE setup file. and when u instal it u have to accept the terms and agreements for media gateway spyware crap in order to instal it..
u appear to be the only person who didnt have this problem suggesting to me that u didnt even download hte right file. u said yourself it didnt work..

Well BF2 amp does work... but its what u have to expose ur computer to that is the problem.

Whoops, my bad.. I downloaded the txt file explaining how to use it and im such a noob, that I thought that .txt was an executible type of file.. :wall: I knew something was wrong.. I then loaded bf2readme.txt and played for a while.. I love to play this game! Lots of reading and I dont know what everybody is talking about with helo's, apcs, guns, graphics, bases etc.. I guess I have to read the game a few more times before I get to unlock.. or.. hell, even "play" with one of these so called "guns".

In case you are having a hard time seeing my sarcasm..... I got the right file. It was a zip containing 2 files... 1 is a .dll and the other is the actual exe (its called Bf2amp.exe). You click it and it says something like "bf2amp is running, start bf2".

I have not seen any evidence so far that proved BF2Amp containing Spyware/Adaware/Malware. Just loads of accusations and talk about .exe files and disclaimers.
Maybe those people that had a disclaimer downloaded the wrong tool? As far as I can remember, I did not see any sort of disclaimer when running BF2Amp.
My guess is that a lot of people are talking a lot of BS here without really knowing the facts.
Accusations without proven facts are my biggest pet peeve.

Now before going on with this, would somebody please be so kind and clear this thing up?
