the list looks alright i just wouldnt have put the G36c as number 1 its a good gun but i really wish there was a sight on it you know so i would have put the l85 as number 1 the only reason its not good in close combat is because alot of people pray and spray you have to do 3 shot bursts like the m16 you know but i guess everyone has a diffrent idea

How do you guys have the DAO at #1? Yes it is a great close combat weapon, but its just like the MEC's shotgun. Also, if you see someone with a g3, g36c, or any other kind of good long range weapon, your pretty much dead. The only thing you can do is either run away, or bunny hop your way to your death. You dont even get a pistol with that kit. It just doesnt make sence to me.

The AT class does get a pistol, the MEC shotgun is an *engineer's* weapon not an AT weapon, and the DAO has 12 shots vs 7 for the MEC shotgun anyway. You are also talking about features of the kit, not the merits of the unlock.

If the unlock for a class is no better than the stock weapons for that class then it is hardly worth getting. The reason why so many people rate the DAO highly, as an unlock, is that it is so much better than the stock AT weapons (all of which suck at any range).

Still, you wont be out shooting any of the better assault rifles with a pistol.

DAO <LOL, damage = pi$$poor, reload time is like watching paint dry

G3 <Good damage, but accuracy is t3h suxx

G36 <No red dot. WTF?! Negligable increase in power and NO FLIPPING RED DOT??

L85 <F'ing sniper. In auto mode, it's a joke

M95 <Puts an end to heli whores. Hells yea. Minor damage + hit with M95 = 2 pts 4 j00!

Accuracy with the G3 is good enough, and the G36C is much an improvement on the M4, screw the red-dot, it gives no more zoom, just looks cool, G36C has less minmum deviation (more accurate) and has less recoil than them all.

I think I've played enough to be qualified to speak here....

Best unlock, second to none is the DAO-12. Huge upgrade over the SMGs. Overall best close combat weapon. This puts it at #1.

Second is the PKM, because it has accuracy and power far beyond what the ROF of the SAW and Chinese SAW-clone can make up for. The RPK-74 shades it slightly.

Third is the G36C. The M4 has the laser-sights, the AK-74 has better damage and the QZB-97 has better accuracy and ROF, but the G36C has the best recoil and is overall a nice package. Perhaps not worth the unlock though IMO because it doesn't offer too much alternative to the default weapons.

Fourth is the Jackhammer. Stepping outside the fact that the engineer kit is hindered by idiots ignoring mine warnings, The jackhammer is the most powerful damage-wise auto shotty, and right even in ability with the powerful but slow-pump actions, and the weaker damage but faster reloading Saiga12k.

Fifth is the G3. The smaller clip and questionable accuracy sometimes bring it down, along with no nade launcher (big negative for some), but It hits like a ton of bricks and I like hand grenades anyway. Better ironsights than the M16...but I can't say its the equal of the AK 101.

Sixth is the L85A1. It's function is pretty much inbetween an autosniper and an assualt rifle, but it doesn't dominate in either of those areas. I beleive it's let down as it has a very specific range in which it works well, but the other rifles outperform it all other times.

Seventh is the M95. I don't find the ability to penetrate armour and glass as good as improved accuracy in the M24 or faster firing rate of the autosnipers when I'm on either side.

I would agree with most of them, but also, the red-dot isn't that good, doesn't give any zoom, the G36C is more accurate and it has less recoil, at the expense of the red-dot sight.

As i can only really comment on the ones ive played heres my incomplete list;
1-L85 I use this all the time and find it very effective. I am often tempted to use the ak-101 or m-16 on karkand but I dont. The cqc experience with the gun has really payed off. Just be smart with it and its a good gun.

2-G36C Powerful, accurate, great overall gun. I really enjoy using it, though its been awhile. Ever since I got the L85 I try to use that as much as possible. I was dissapointed with the sights on it, but you can get over that.

3-M95 Ive only used this a short time but I must say I was slightly dissapointed. I know if I had more time with it I would get better and like it, but as just a quick pick-up it wasnt so great.


Now I just have to decide if I want the PKM or the DAO-12 next. Leaning towards the PKM. Any advice?

I would agree with most of them, but also, the red-dot isn't that good, doesn't give any zoom, the G36C is more accurate and it has less recoil, at the expense of the red-dot sight.

The red dot is much more precise than the iron sight, especially at extreme ranges. Just place the dot over the head and fire - sure beats having to balance the head on the end of the iron sight pin.

Plus, visibility is better with the red dot, especially if the target moves downward from your firing position.

Exactly. Most people here are making pointless comparisons. Who cares if the G36 is better than the DAO-12? What's important is how much of an upgrade is it over the stock weapon for that class. On that basis the DAO-12 is clearly superior to all other unlocks.
