Heyhey,

Okay it's been a few months that we've been playing BF2, at first, everone was like..."Mo' Fo' bh whoring" should be scrapped.

We'll now that I'm getting good at it myself. hehe. I noticed other players are getting good at preventing an all out onslaught of bh pimp-daddy's.

Last night on the Suckmyhua map, we tried engineers, AT's and medics, but the defending team just kept blowing us out of the sky or would give me enough damage to send me running.

So I ask you...

I think if they are going to force us out of the chopper to capture a flag...the gunships had better be made stronger.

No its a perfectly valid tactic, if you want to ban BH whoreing ban suicide planes.

here's what ALL bh whores should do:

1. install TWO copies of battlefield 2
2. on install #1 patch it to 1.03
3. on install #2 patch it to 1.02

problem solved!

i GUARANTEE you that there will still be quite a lot of servers that will run 1.02. just like there's about 50 servers according to ASE that is running patch 1.01 and even the vanilla version.

so when you and your buddies feel like bh whoring, fire up the bf2 install running 1.02 and your account will get all those whored points. and, if you get tired from bh whoring, simply fire up your other copy of bf2 and you can use the same account that you were using just a while ago to whore the bh!

2 copies of bf2, different patch versions, same bf2 account = best from both worlds (patches, actually).

Never had a problem with BH whoring, it's good in or out, a good group of players will take out the chopper most of the time.

Check my stats, wish it said Deaths from running blindly at blackhawk with pistol after pressing the wrong button - 2324, posts saying how great it is - 1, i'll shut up I think and go provide cannon fodder for the masses.:laugh:

I say leave the BH alone because
1: They're fine as they are and not difficult to take down.
2: The patch, according to the dev chat, is going to apply the flag cap settings to ALL vehicles? So just because people whining, ALL vehicles are getting screwed over, ruining an aspect of the game entirely instead of just for air vehicles. =/

I don't see why making the blackhawks land or making people (other than the driver) get out of a vehicle to cap a point as screwing the blackhawks or any vehicle all that much. . .you just have to think a little about taking a base rather than just hovering over it.

BH whoring never really bothered me, but it did bother a lot of people AND I think that this is a better way to do it.

I agree that nerfing the BH is not good. Even when Im on the opposing team I like the challange of bringing down a blackhawk full of people. It gives something to strive for and without a challange the fun will be lost to.

there is only 1 way I enjoy BH whoring
and that is if I fly!
I avg less than 1 death per mashtaur
even with no engineers on board
if I have 2 engineers
I never die

I only fly a little better than others
but I am not as freakin DUMB as others

hovering in front of a tank. . .
sitting between 2 vodnicks . . .
idling 2 feet above the ground and having nades tossed inside . . .
sitting under friendly arty (yes I know - no audio warnnig - but use the damn mini-map) . . .
not rotating so gunners can kill . . .
suantering home into a stinger site . . .
etc etc etc
etc etc etc

now are there exceptions to my rule?
yes- but so far, only sgt or above get my respect
sometimes cpl,
yet, I still give them all a chance (even lower ranks)
and if they die in less than a minute
then race back to be pilot again
well, I have NEVER TK on purpose
but boy, do I want to then !!!!!!

how about when we have no engineers, our flag is gone, I hide in the hills and do my own repair
and then some smactard from the back seat STEALS THE BH
and of course, dies in less than a minute and we have no base left, so no more BH
do I want to TK tha guy?? no - i want to go postal for real!
aaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

I ALWAYS go as engineer to help

now, I can tell in less than 60 secs if the guy is a rookie pilot, and I am ready to bail and do some killing with my jackhammer

no, I am NOT a snob or elitist
we all were rookies once
but I practiced for hours on singleplayer
or local server
not only to get better, but out of respect for fellow players

WOW - some of these anit-BH tactics are GREEEEEEAT !! !
it actually makes me happy to see the defense mount up against me (or other good pilots) - this is what this game is all about - adaptation!
I might not die - but boy do I spend all day running and hiding!
tanks, vodnick, hummers, AT;s = one or more at each flag, plus stinger at home, with home flag captured - so death once means no return . . .
BH is then near worthless as flag capture
so forced to just zip around as airborne killing machine

just read that after patch - only pilot can stay aboard and that this will slow down the BH capture spree

I say great!! - now most dumbies will stay away from BH
but I Guarantee it will not effect a good pilot!!
guys will para down, cap the flag, and BH will make a swoop pick them all up
will hardly have any effect if done correcttly
just more fun this way

in fact, this is how we do it in a LAV already

swoop onto flag, everyone bails (no sense getting 6 deaths to 1 AT or Tank), cap flag, all hop back in and sprint off

in summary,
I just re-read this before I posted it
please do not think me tooooooooooo arrogant
am not looking for flames
I know this is just a game
but it is very fun for me and many many more othes
it just makes it soooooooo frustrating when noobs (not newbies, not rookies, not folks with less skill), just freakin noobs to launch in a vehicle and then make us all die

(same thing to a lesser degree for attack helo - bad pilot only kills 1 not 6)

and few things nake me smile more than to have a pfc or Lcpl launch off the pad
then saunter off, land and bail so someone else can fly . . wow . . . hat's off to them ! !
(now if they can only learn to hit F2 when they are first to arrive, but maybe that is too hard because it fills up so fast, but again, I salute you just the same

People who answer no... People who don't have skills at all with this game. Sometimes I don't like it, sometimes it doesnt bother me.

Mashtuur City, I don't like it if we dont have the top flag with our chopper, which means I can't run into theirs with C4 all over mine.

Otherwise, if it's another map. It's easy to take down with a jet or a chopper, or even anti tank class
