Simple suggestion to reduce the number of redundant threads, but also concentrate wisdom for a given topic into one place (so we don't lose opinions).

Create a new forum (before Tips & Tricks, but nested in General) that contains a bunch of sticky threads. These threads should cover the most common topics, and each thread title should be a mutually exclusive subject. Examples include:

What do you think about the <PKM/G36C/G3/etc.>?
What is <Blackhawk Whoring/Stat Padding/etc.>
I think <stingers/grenade launchers/bunny hopping/etc.> suck.

Anyone who has anything to say about those subjects can post in the correct thread. New topics that cover this same material should be deleted regularly.

I would, except that 90% of the people on here can't create a cogent, relevant subject line. They all start with, "Should I..." or "Question" or "What if I..." or "Don't you hate it when...".

The other downside is that redundant threads shove other, newer, infinitely more interesting threads off of the front page.

Also, you failed to flame the other benefit to this idea - all of the wisdom, commentary, and discussion for a given subject would be concentrated in one thread instead of scattered across 20 different ones. This makes it easier to get the full story and read all of the valuable tidbits on an issue.
