UT2004, just as good? Do you really want to go there? I played UT2004 before I switched to BF2. UT2004 is pretty damn good but it doesn't compare to BF2....the teamwork in BF2 is unsurpassed. But wait until UT2007 comes out on the unreal3 engine...it'll whoop some major butt. But lets not turn this into a BF2 vs UT2k4, shall we?

Why don't you answer this simple question:

If EA is such crap, and Epic is so great, and UT2004 is just as good, why are you playing bf2?

yes, UT2004 is just as good... and if you want to give marks for a lot
of individual categories, its better..

Teamwork you say? Omg... its rare there is ACTUAL teamwork in
BF2..but rather, coincidental bunching up of teammates who may or
may not take a flag somewhere.. How many people do you hear in
your squad using voice? If any ? Teamwork you say? Hell, half the
commanders I get only UAV/SUPPLY themselves the whole game..

UT99 came out 6 years ago and people are still playing it online by
the droves.. because it stays fresh with new maps, skins, etc etc..
UT2004 Same thing.. HUGE collection of free maps, addons, etc etc.

I dont need to prove to anyone that EPIC is better than EA.. thats
a no brainer.. If EA is the Corvette of publishers, as some people
here think, then EPIC must be the Lamborghini because the differance
is un questionable.

Why do I play BF2 ? Well, to answer that question...I still play UT2004
twice as much as BF2.. BF2 less and less daily.. 10-11 maps?
30 bucks more for some 'expansion pack' with 3 more maps ? lol.

Having said all this.. I will say BF2 has/had potential.. the modern
weps, intended teamwork, etc.. all can make this game fun.. but
jeez the code is just junk...the support by EA is near nonexistant,
Their term for 'support' is 'control'.. thats how they support a title..

At least the game has this potential. UT2004 doesn't. At least when I used to play it, it wasn't much better...you would run to the power points and hope there were some others there too who would help you capture the points. Teamwork is all about how good the players are...

When I played UT2004 it was fun...for about 5 minutes. It doesn't have half the depth of the Battlefield series. Yeah, it's too bad about the point system, unlocks, and the asanine ranked server BS, but it's still a better game, even with all the bugs.
