EA is going to have the expansion out before the patch at this rate.
I have basically shelved this game until this patch comes out, I love playing but getting greifed by my own team has got to go.

This is absurd EA. You should have released what you had at the end of august, trying to fix so many things in one patch is only going to break more things in the process.

And what makes you assume the patch will end griefing? It's a friggin problem with humans, and last I checked, there's no fix for that.

And releasing the patch in August could have potentially caused just as many problems than it fixed, and then YOU would be whining because there's something else you don't like about the game.

My take is that people just can't give the developer a break no matter which way you cut it. They just enjoy complaining. And it won't end with this patch, trust me. There will be even more people pouring their poor little hearts out in these forums about things they "hate" about the game.

the patch that will come out soon will fix some bugs wich is good (read normal if u distrubute a beta version) , but theres something seriously wrong with the code...
i just played counterstrike (my game for the past 3 yrs) my aim is very good, eye hand coordination, ... everything i learned from playing counterstrike has served me well.

but now... on BF2... how the hell did they program the aim? its shaking like lag, sometimes it just seem u are shooting rubber bullets, shooting an enemy thats running or dodging bullets is nearly impossible to hit or kill, a standing enemy can be dealt with but still some seem to shoot with tac nukes and get u instantly and some others like me are shooting air on him, although i swap to burst and semi auto, shooting on lying people (so easy to hit heads no) but no, nothing seems to work! i get kills ofcourse and good scores too , but still i feel thats their something wrong, frustrating wrong. u should check it when u play and see how many people get a good combat score, its hard to find people with a good kill:death ratio
lucky theres the teamworkscore to get ur score up otherwise it would be real horrible for scores. they arent all noobs? why do they get so hard good kills, u must have to be a lamor to get constantyl good scores, like C4ing and waiting for them to spawn, get armor kills and so on, but kills with gunfire? good luck.

was it me i thought? possibly cause i only play it a month but i went to counterstrike again (after 1.5 month) and played still amazingly well. so my aim on pple and my eye hand coordination are still very effective (thats whats it all bout in FPS no?).

why does the aim on BF2 act so weird i wonder then, its like programmed for unreal where u need a madmans aim to kill people, but here? its just frustrating on karkand to shoot people that are so close u hardly cant miss and still do. im not the only one that complaints bout it, for us its a mystery. i know its FPS related and like in CS u could configure it in ur console and tweak ur cs perfectly so ur aim improves huge. when i started the CS game it was standard installed and aiming was hard too, but u had a chance!
After tweaking and learning from others it improved massively. is there a way to do that too in BF2?

as a last question ... is this the next gen of aiming? is the counterstrike aim, that is soooo smooth and actually hits where its supposed to hit over? is this the unreal aim we gonna see in all next games? It would be unfortunately to see that they spend all their time to graphics and **** and dont pay enough attention for a smooth good aim like in CS. the graphics are low there, its an old game but developers can still learn a lot from their valve colleagues how u program descent aim (this is a firstperson shooter , no?) some people care less bout graphics and want to see they got skill to play it. in BF1942 the aim was even better then now.

i hope that they do something with it, its totally not realistic although the "show" and the "graphics" like to prove it otherwise.

client memory leak
hit detection issues
no auto connect feature
search feature on browser is broken
update only works sometimes in browser
populated & not full together in browser don't work
no favorites in broweser
no player search in browser
touch of death by all vehicles
cross hairs too thick on m95
broken aa
bad tk assignments
no team kick vote
flag bug, shows wrong country
flag won't change
mini map shows you in flag zone when your not
repair won't work even when both circles are there
empty aa and vehicles get target on jets
friendly vehicles show as good targets in jets
enemy appears blue
friendlies appear red
if you kill an enemy with a blue tag you can get a tk
reload animation on M24 gets stuck
the tk punish problems
too many people needed to start a game on ranked servers
browser show server info incorrectly (eg: autobalance on or off)
no way to try unlocks offline
no co-op mode
game info shows you've died while you are still alive
-2 for attempting to switch teams
no easy way to join teams with friends when autobalnce is on
autobalance can switch commander
autobalance can switch squad leader
red circle on good spawn point
spawn points hidden
no way to pick up your claymores
no way to defuse C4

I think the public is about due for a status update on the patch. They shouldn't rush it, but they should give us at least a tidbit about its progress every week or two. The last I heard about it was the "october 3rd release" patch...any news since?

It was never an "october 3rd release patch". That was another rumour.

It was, however, a "when its ready" release patch and that still remains.
It'll be released when it's ready!
