I don’t know how long it takes to get any medals or ribbons, I just play and it’s like my birthday when I see a badge or ribbon pop up! I’m still working on getting my kills higher then my deaths hehe.

But yeah I don’t think I have a combined total of over 10,000 hours in my whole online gaming career, including all the games I have played. EA was on crack when they made that decision.

This might sound stupid, but I have no idea if this would work, why not just make a new account, and win 3 rounds?.......it is 3:1

Because you need at least 50 commander hours plus the 3:1 ratio.

Oh........I see.............well just play commander, win 3 times, and play 50 hours without losing by leaving if you are about to lose >_< Cheap I know........lol.

Actually if you leave in the middle of the round it counts as a lost regaurdless if you are on the winning team or not. Besides, I don't really want to create a new account. I have done too much with mine.

i posted a few whinging threads on the EA games forums in the suggestion area about this ribbon. hopefully they take this into consideration when they change the award system, which they said they would do...i also mentioned the time spent in one round to get awards as stupid (28min as a commander to get a ribbon just means your too crap to win the round in a shorter time frame)

If you wanna be cheap about it. Join servers with autobalance off so you can switch at the end. Change servers a lot to get cheap wins. If you're in a game where u can't switch, disconnect before the round ends. I know I'll never get that ribbon since I don't really care about commanding or wins/losses.

You mean if you want to be a weasel about it. OF course, that's probably why so many servers have autobalance off now is for lamers who only care about that stuff.

It would be nice if they would have change the war ribbon ratio to 2:1 or just take it out completely and added a few more hours as commander

Emoticon has good advise, I did everything but #1. The ribbon isnt for everyone. For everyone with a 3:1 w/l theres a guy with a 1:3 w/l.

it's not only wins or losses playing as commander, either, but wins/losses overall.

I figured out it wasn't a 3:1 k/d ratio once i had that ratio.
I then figured out it was 3:1 w/l ratio.
You get it (if it isn't beyond your reach already) this way....

Play spec ops ...this was 1.02.
Kill all enemys assets (your commander will spot your intentions and drop you crates and spot/uav for your safety..
Kill enemy commander as much as possible.
Play with people you know.

It's win loss, doesn't matter if you are commander or not once you have the hours in and spec ops will do more (1.02) damage than anyone else.
Of course you will get 0 ish points for this, haven't looked or played much since i got the WC ribbon but i intend to dl 1.03 soon hehe.

You probably can lame the ribbon but there is no need, even as commander i was getting around 8-9 to 1 wins after 50 hours, learn the maps.

If i see a commander in the field i will mutiny and kill him for good measure.

ps. 45 points is easy on low player big map servers, i had to do it twice in a row to get it.

Yeah. Switch to the winning team just before the end of the round

LOL, I was thinking a more complecated way than that. That's a much easier way though :). I'd do it.
