With Ventrilo you can only setup an 8 slot server hosted by you and I think the voice codec is lower. If you want more slots and a higher codec you have to rent from a certified hosting provider that Ventrilo has approved. Ventrilo can support up to 400 people. I do prefer it to TS since it sounds better.

I might be able to give out some channels to people in a temp 100 slot chicago server I have. I say temp because it was setup by our provider when our server went down and they havn't taken it down yet and its been about a month or so. Its not being used at all unless our main one goes down which is rare. Anyway if you want a channel PM me. Just not sure how long it will stay up.

we use Ventrilo and it works quite well. we ended up leasing a vent server from a provider, best money we've ever spent - money better spent than renting a game server.

i use both but i love Ventrilo alot better better quality if ya ask me you can do more with it and i just think overall its better

ventrilo via purevoice... incredible servers. Been using them for over 2 years.

Superior to TS in every way.
