I was just playing Kubra Dam and our commander gets into a plane.
What an idiot. Not only is it a waste of the jet because commander can't get points, he can't help our team either with commander actions. He didn't even drop a single bomb.
I stood in front of his plane, and punished him. Idiots like him need to be banned without thought.

Commander could only access commander functions while inside the UAV trailer?

Press 'E' as commander to enter/exit.

Thats not a bad idea. Commanders should have to sacrifice something. commanders should only be able to be passengers.

we are implementing a new rule on our server.. all commanders must read and follow the rules on our site.. if you are found not to be, instant ban.

we dont mind if commanders are rubbish at the tactics, thats a skill you have to learn, but commanders who dont command/use assets/spot are a waste of space.

Yeah, he was being a twit, but there are lots of circumstances where it makes sense for a commander to use a vehicle. When I play commander on Songhua, for example, I often find that the tank and APC at the chinese main base go unused. If I leave the tank empty then I inevitably have to kill it over and over again because it is the first thing that every Marine who comes up the hill sees. So if I see it empty I take it and use it to take out any BHs that come near the back flag.

Same sort of thing happens on a lot of other maps - if I see an important asset lying idle I take it. If someone wants to use it all they have to do is ask, but I'm not going to leave it lying around so that the enemy can cap our main base more easily.

People don't follow orders. I've been commander dozens of times and its like hitting my head against a wall...no matter how much I try I can't move things...ARRGG.

I think if people actually got points for following commander orders I think people will WANT to have a good commander on their team.

well there's always some people who don't listen no matter how good or bad the commander is they just have to do their own thing

I agree though a commander should be commanding not fighting he's no good if he's trying to stay alive instead of dropping supplies and such

you could so much fun stuff ... sniping the enemy commander with your M95 ... blowing up the command center with a decent pile of c4 .... to counter that the commander should get some sort of permanent mini radar around his comman center ...

...on the other hand I can see some smackt***s blowing up their own commander just to get into his chair...

A serious commander is way too busy spotting, artying, supplying, directing and UAVing to run around in foot or in a vehicle, unless its a last stand type deal. Then its grab your gun, strut to the front and show the troops how to be slaughtered like a man :shoot: :nerr:

Well, You guys are kinda right. I'm usually commander when I can be, I will pull out my M95 and start heading out to battle, Once all of my stuff refills, or atleast my artillary and scan, i scan, artillary, and put a UAV over an enemy base. Then i keep on goin. If theres a guy out sniping when I run the scan, I spot him. I only drop supply crates when I think its nessecary, or they request it. So, They should be inside vehicles. Because I still get a good commander score when I do go out and fight. Our team also usually ends up winning.
