That large online multiplayer gaming corporations today only ever seem to do the bare minimum for their "big" patches that are supposed to address the issues currently affecting the game.
I have noticed a trend that seems to suggest that while they fix alot of technical bugs they always seem to disregard most and even all of the major issues that the users seem to all agree upon.
At the same time we are sitting here having paid for the game itself and are generally always left wondering where did the professional support that one should expect in a game that they and hundreds of thousands of others paid for go.
After all we are the end users and they are the ones who determine what we use and how to fix what we determine as a group to be quite unsatisfying.
I guess in the end we will all be dissapointed with the next patch since it is obviously only aimed at fixing the limited technical bugs associated with BF2.
In the end I would assume that this points to the fact that being as how there is no subscription fee associated with this game that EA/DICE believes it is best to make a quick title based on the same existing template in order to cash in once more before it collapses on them.
All in all I have and still do enjoy most of what battlefied 2 has to offer yet at the same time realize that much improvement is needed. On top of that I feel like we are being shafted by a company that obviously wont go out of their way to support their first product since its sales have long since peaked off, and only seek one more quick burst of profit before practically retiring the series of Battlefied games.
