New Weapon Unlock...any regrets

My first weapon unlock was DAO-12 and the weapon is badazz. Just about to unlock second and was wondering if anyone has any regrets on weapon unlock. And after researching other weapons its clear that some unlocks are no better than standard issue. Thread on....

wish I had unlocked the DAO-12 over my G3... thought it would be more accurate than it is, which makes me use the standard rifles more. I play Anti-Armor a lot, which is initially why I didn't want to unlock it because it would make me play it even more, but now I wouldn't mind the variation since I usually have to play it anyways thanks to all the vehicles in the maps.

I have two accounts, both at lance, i got a G3 and a G36C. No regrets at all, the G3 does require to reload somewhat often, but it's my way of boycotting nooblaunchers while not entirely boycotting assault.

What would you guys reccomend for the first weapon unlock? I normally play assault or support but I think once the patch comes I will be playing Spec Ops more.

Nop, g3, l8, and g36c. Like em all. Close to 4th unlock but I dislike the rest of the classes asides sniper but I like m24 more so gonna waste it on crap when I get it....

I will get SGT soon and I think I will unlock the anti tank kit. I unlocked the eng and support and feel pretty comfortable with the shotguns. I dont ever hit anything with that mp5 so I can't wait!

I just made sergeant and unlocked the G36C. No regrets there it's a sweet gun. No more powerful than the M4 but accurate without the zoom. My other unlocks are the DAO12 (real room cleaner) and the LA85 (never use it). I would have traded that LA85 for just about any other unlock.

kind of regret unlocking the g3 cause i've only got 512mb of ram and get a fair bit of lag in games. That means i can't play an assault very effectively when i keep skipping accross all the maps. wish i had of unlocke done of the shotties now.

i say the spec ops is the worst cuz of NO LASER SIGHT the aim sux...but if your spec ops and the enemy comander calls a scan and stand still u dont show up.

Dude, there's no difference, it ust looks cooler. Plus, it doesn't actauly zoom in like sniper rifles, and doesn't actually have a laser. Plus, the G36C has much less recoil.

G3 was a mistake for me. Though I like the M31A for the medic. I want that medic unlock.

To get back on track, i have the g36, and m95, both of which FAIL miserably in disappointing me, I plan on getting the DAO 12 for next unlock, although i want G3 as well

I have unlocked the L85A and the M95, both two very powerful and accurate guns if used correctly.

The L85A medic gun is most efficient for sniping medium to far range in SINGLE SHOT MODE. It's practically useless in auto, so if you do unlock it, keep it in single shot, even for close encounters. This gun is amazingly accurate and very good for picking off people while staying just on the outskirt of the battle. Many people complain that it is too weak when going up against assault or other classes but this is most likely due to the fact that medics don't get body armor and are therefore suseptable to falling first in a fight against an enemy equipped with body armor. The only reason I have for hating the medic class sometimes is not the gun/s, rather the accuracy of the paddles. I can be right ontop of a player shocking away at his lifeless corpse and wont get a revive. I really hope they fix this in the 1.03 patch.

The M95 is an awesome sniper rifle for those who enjoy the occasional session of sniper combat. It is a bit tricky to get used to, due to the somewhat greater bullet drop than the other sniper rifles (easy to counter by aiming a bit higher than target, depending on distance). I have picked off quite a few enemies in light and medium armored vehicles, as well as a few pilots in hovering helocopters. It is definitely a fun gun to mess around with but if you are looking for a gun that will turn the tide of battle in your favor, I think a gun better suited for close combat would be the DAO, PKM, or G36C.

Next unlock is probably going to be the DAO, simply because I can't stand being the AT kit while feeling completely vulnerable in close quarters combat against almost every kit. The auto shotgun would rock in those narrow city streets of Karkand or any other city map. One might argue that the shotgun takes away the ability to engage targets at a distance, but that is what the pistol is for.

Damn I wish I could trade that M95 with you hehe. I have like 25000 to my next unlock.. INSANE!!!
