how about maps specified for each type of vehicles. for example have like a desert map where you each team has like 10 tanks and couple of apcs so that you can have a tank vs tank battle with infantry as at or specops for support. Or perhaps a sea map where there are 2 carriers with nothing but jets and possible boats with mounted anti aa... should be fun
I say go for urban with vehicle, and of course add some "jets" to it to make it a TK fest... j/k lol, but yea Urban with groun vehicle only, no choppers
Urban.....definitly.
I play multiplayer games, to do just that. Multiplay. Jets, helos, tanks, for the most part rarely get me moving....
Now, 4 guys defending a flag, while a gang of 9 guys are attacking it...and the 4 guys win and keep that flag.
Thats heaven.
However....in the same scenerio, if a helo came, and wiped out the 4 guys for the 9 guys attacking......really, what fun was that?
I love urban maps that have light vehicles, but Shongra and Zetar + Oilfields REALLY BORE ME! They're good maps and all... but walking for 20mins cause no one will pick you up gets boring.
I like the urban maps more, just because there is much more action going on. I thought the devs were gonna add a new mode called hold the line or something? which didn't make it to the retail. I guess that would have been the answer to the ridiculously big maps like dragon valley. What's the fun if you have to walk 10 minutes and get killed instantly. I prefer mashtuur city and karkand much more over those sort of maps. Hopefully special forces will be more like mashtuur and karkand.
and btw I do agree that the 'rock, paper, scissor' principle does not apply for jets.
those are rocks that only can get downed by another rock, if the pilot knows what he's doing, god knows the static AA won't do it, especially with those radar towers and crummy placement near walls, trees, you name it..
Open maps ger really boring. When you have to walk for 10-20 minutes to an enemy flag and then to only get shot from behind or something and having to do it all over again gets annoying Sometimes I am forced to wait for a vehicle for ages :x
Think people problems with the non urban maps is that there is simply not enough vehicles to make them really good.
If you look at DC, most of the maps had plenty of aircraft and tanks, El Al and Battle of Easting as examples.
Also think the Day1, day2 and day3 variations that the DC team did was spot on too. Day1 loads of armour and aircraft. Day 2 Helicopters and armour, Day3 just armour. Worked a treat in my humble and well fun.
Think also a simple step on most maps would be to include more basic transport, to save the big walks. Another get around this is too join a squad that is heavy into getting into combat. Spawn on the SL if the team is any good and your nearly always in or close to a battle.
Infantry driven maps have there place, but the vehicles and aircraft is what makes this a battlefield.
you know its funny how many of these little coksuckin counter strike convertees will step up and say vehicle maps are "unbalanced" well welcome to battlefield you stupid sacks of sh|t i said it before and i will say it again THIS IS NOT COUNTER STRIKE IF YOU WANT PURE INFANTRY COMBAT GO PLAY AN INFANTRY FOCUSED GAME... this game is all about the mix of infantry/vehicles and just cause theres jets in a map its unbalanced???? you little imbeciles need to buy a clue... nothin better than the huge maps where you got all kinds of vehicles as well as infantry where everyone plays a role... if your team is organized theres no such thing as "imbalance" like you little asswet b|tches complain... you got an armor thrat you take it out with AA or C4 or spot it out for your air support to take out, thats how this game works, not just runnin around like a little asswet idiot clickin all over the screen thinkin this is counter strike... you stupid little ****s need to take your ritalin then you might start to realize that battlefield 2 is at its best in big maps with a combination of vehicles and infantry

Obviously someone hasn't had their daily c**k injection. Perhaps you should bend over and screw yourself. If you see a topic you don't like then don't post in it? We have our say in a pleasant way, not pathetic childish ones you have. Yes we know you're obessesed with male genitals but keep your homosexual thoughts to yourself. Thank you. If an admin is here please kick and ban this poster. He has posted exactly the same way on another forum topic.
