Hi all... I have a pretty decent system and I can only get around 35 - 70 FPS.
Can someone with a similar setup tell me their FPS? And if anyone has any suggestions to fix this problem, please let me know...
PC Specs:
ABIT AV8 Socket 939 VIA K8T800 Pro ATX AMD
Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-480 BLUE ATX12V 480W
ATI Radeon X850XT PE 256MB GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Venice 1GHz FSB Socket 939
Thermaltake VENUS 12 80mm Ball Cooling Fan/Heatsink
CORSAIR XMS 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered Dual Channel Kit
Western Digital 120GB 7200 RPM IDE Ultra ATA100
Using onboard Sound (Realtek AC97)
Nothing is Overclocked (Using CAT 5.8 drivers)
BF2 Settings:
Terrain = Medium
Geometry = High
Effects = High
Texture = Medium
Lighting = Medium
Dynamic Shadows = Off
Dynamic Light = Off
Texture Filtering = Low
resolution = 1024
100% draw distance
The Results:
... like I said, i seem to be getting between 35 - 70 FPS (at best)
I also ran 3DMark05 earlier today, and on the 2nd half of the test (where it plays the same demos for the 2nd time but in smaller resolution), it was running very, very slow. Is it like that for everyone else?
My score was 4234
In the background, I only have a few apps running... NOD32, TrojanHunger, ATITrayTools, XFire, and IRC. XFire's in-game messaing feature is disabled, as it is known to cause big FPS drops on some systems.
Thanks!
