It's more like: "Are you people F***ing stupid? Why would you punish the Commander for a teamkill when YOU ran into the hot zone!!! Can't you see the Artillary Icon???"

Wouldn't this bring a whole new meaning to Black whoring? BH can already get 6 people in it, perhaps more? With ropes added people will hang from the ropes meaning 4 drop ropes would allow up to 10 players in a BH which therefore will lead into instant flag captures.

Well in my proposed idea, there would be the same number of passenger slots in the blackhawks, each cabin passenger having his or her own rope to swing down. I wasn't proposing that the blackhawks have ropes that permanently hang down allowing many people to climb on to the ropes. When each passenger desires to drop down to the ground via rope, he can hit a designated key, dropping his own rope and allowing him to slide down. And if this idea was implemented and used more frequently by the players, it would turn blackhawks into transport helicopters rather than gun ships with full crews who simply sit in the cabin and wreak the benefits of assisted flag captures and kills (most of whome aren't even engineers who could assist the heli). I wouldn't be surprised to see the ropes implemented into the blackhawks by EA and Dice if they wised up to the complaints of the people and sought an easy fix for "blackhawk whoring." Of course this fix would probably also include an alteration of the chainguns mounted on the blackhawks to either reduce accuracy or dumb down damage.

i think that to stop the 'blackhawk whoring' the rops can only be deplyoed for a certain amount of time. this will eliminate people hanging on the ropes. plus, once the rope has been deployed and the person has slid down, the rope drops off the blackhawk and theres a short 'reload' time before the ropa can be used again. this should hopefully eliminate any 'blackhawk whoring'

Yes they didn't included the "laser designator" though I never have knew what it actually would do.

Nice to dig-up a year old thread. As for ropes, not a bad idea, but it will be exploited, whored, etc.

lol, I almost responded sincerely to the guy who posted that it would be in SF. Then I got the idea to check when that was posted and it's from Sept. 05.

It definitely would have been nice to have, but I can see it being most useful for getting back into the helo after you jumped out. It takes a long time to bring the transport helos down to ground level and the extra 20 ft or so would save some time getting back in for sure.

First of all if a BH pilot is hovering 20 feet over a flag to cap it, that's pure nonsense. Does noone let people halo chute from 200m up, let them cap the flag, then swoop down to pick them back up anymore? A hovering BH is a nice slow target for any AT kit with a hint of skill and easy pickings for any .50 gunner. However back to the original purpose of this thread. Ropes would be nice to use in certain situations. If only there were ropes that were 100m long....You could slide down the rope a ways then jump off the rope to parachute. Practical? No. Entertaining....Hellz yes.

HAHA thats the way it would be although i would love the ropes in the game i also wish they could add the mini birds in the game... like what if they didnt have any guns on them and they where just used for transport like around karkand or something??? well they could be cool but theres the downsides also like ramming and c4 bombing.. HAHa well they could make it so you couldnt drop c4 while in the heli..
