I had like 35 kills and 30 deaths one round and still havent gotten it.

Its the one medal I try really hard NOT to get. That alone makes it kinda fun.

I'd have to disagree. It took me three tries to get it. Its funny how hard it is to get people to kill you when you want them too. I went as far as running right up to a enemy and stopping in front of him. He didn't shoot so I shot at him. Still nothing so I ended up killing him. Anyways I got it because medals are like poke`mon, gotta catch them all!

Wow, reading this thread was like asking a hobo for spare change, useless. Having the purple heart means nothing, many amazing players have it cause they tried to get it or they got it when they were still learning. I actually got mine when I let my girlfriend play for a bit and I was teaching her. Now it's a fond memory everytime I look at my purple heart, after playing BF2 we had even more fun that night playing other games together, in bed...:laugh:

I had a bad round when I started playing and got it, it's my first medal other than the stars and I am very proud of it.

lol i tired to get it to tell you the truth it took me awhile for some reason i would walk up to an enemy so he could kill me and he just looked at me and i couldnt help but kill him so i got my knife out and tried to stab people and i got it lol but it took like 3 rounds cuz i couldnt die that much for some reason

I too got it going for the veteran knife badge. I swore I would use only the knife that round no matter what; it was detrimental to my death rate, died 30times, but I still got my 7 knife kills. Of course this was before Knife/pistol servers which you can get that badge and the expert like its nothing.

I dont mind getting it but remeber that all the top guys have it and they are still good players

I was havin the worst day online wenn I got it :hmm:

I got 5 - 20 but then i made it come to 30 - 27 (Kills and Deaths that is)

The server was lagging like sh!t so I froze and then died and that p!$$ed me off soooo much

Oh well I still have more kills than deaths but dont bother looking up my stats caz I abandoned that account ages ago and started a new 1.:p (SargeantSniper)

Anyone that deliberatly goes out and tries to get a purple heart is just a medal whore in my book. ITS A MEDAL OF SHAME tbh.

I mean seriously how bad do you suck if you have a 1-4 kill/death ratio in one round. If i ever wanted to get it I'd have to dedicate a round of pure suckage on my......... and i dont see that happening anytime soon since i have pride in my gameplay.
