I'm from australia and the price here is like 1.50$ for petrol, which converted to American is not a lot I think, although that's shizen loads for Australia.

After Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, many stations temporarily ran out of gas in the South East US. Some took down their signs, others zero'd them out like in Oman - so is it possible they just ran out too?
WOW a $1.45 I would take that anyday! I haven't seen a $1.45 since the early 90's It was $3.19 just a few weeks ago. Its come down some last week to $2.89 Weeeeee!

Is it just me or does the fact that people are panic buying something that they regard as having a high price seem a bit bizarre?

Hang on a minute, UK is an exporter of crude/ petroleum, should we fear a US invasion? If so, may I suggest Skegness as a good landing point, its the long way around, but it could do with the re-modelling.....
