I have a Logitech USB Headset 30 and it's worthless. I paid almost 70€ for them! The sound quality is terrible (but the mic is great though). Don't buy!
I've got the Plantronics DSP-500 which is the same as the Plantronics Gamecom Pro 1 headset. It set up quickly and easily and didn't require you to install their software to use it. In fact their software is almost completely useless. Since these headsets are USB they don't require a soundcard which was good for me because the mic input on my built in sound card is plagued by low levels. I picked it up for about $45 with free shipping at Amazon. I have no complaints with the headset at all and would easily buy another pair if needed.
