Accidentally Deleted BF2 Profile

So apparently I accidentally deleted my Battlefield 2 stats yesterday while creating an account at Fileplanet. After I created a new account there, it told me that I had two existing profiles and I deleted one of them, wanting to avoid clutter. Not knowing just how closely ANY Gamespy online service is to my GamespyID which is my Battlefield 2 account, I had no idea that I was flushing 115 hours of playing time down the drain.

When trying to login to BF2 after that, I got the "The uniquenick provided is incorrect" error.

The strange thing is that all the online BF2 stats sites still report my previous stats. Maybe there's some hope but I think it's just because they are cached. In any case, I've emailed EA and will continue to email any EA representative that I can get an email address of, until they store my old stats. They've gotta have backups of some sort.... Let's pray.

Even if it doesn't work, you shouldn't be able to delete your BF2 account by deleting a profile on fileplanet...

Just to add to this, the following is a screenshot where by clicking Delete next to peekj, I deleted my Battlefield 2 account. Little ridiculous, no?

Have you tried -> Manage accounts on the BF2 login screen, retrieve account? I deleted my one demo account from there but I could still retrieve it.

Yeah that's the first thing I tried but to no avail. It was saying that there was no account found when I searched by my email and said the same when searching for my nick.

It's ok, I plan on annoying the hell out of EA until it gets fixed... Maybe pay them a visit and camp out in front of their offices, lol.

Man that fileplanet button should have like 2 confirmations, are you shure you want to delete this account? Are you really shure? (You will loose the account and all the stats in it!).

That's pretty ridiculous. It should be that you can only delete a profile from the manage profiles screen in BF2.

Gamespy really needs to sort this out, before any more similar problems occur.

Hello? Wake up! OK, let me get this straight you deleted your primary account while you were trying to set up another, right? Then you went into the game and tried to login with your name that you always use? Well if thats the case it's not going to work because you deleted you primary account or the one you always lose!

The fix:

Hopefully it will work for you :). First, the account you created, get the login and the password and email you setup for it :). Then start up the game and login with the account you created, hopefully you will be able to login. Now if that doesn't work try making an account the same as the one you deleted, with the same login, PS, and email, then try and login. And maybe if you get lucky it might bring back everything from the account you deleted like medals, stats, and other things.

I actually deleted my primary account while I was setting up an account at Fileplanet. After I filled in all the registration information there, it brought me to the screen you see in my screenshot. I saw peekj (Jan is the new one) and thought "Oh, I guess this is an old fileplanet profile I once had. I don't need it anymore, let's delete it."

I've tried your fix and BF2 actually let me create a new account with the same name as my old one ("peekj") but all the stats were at 0.
