    Re: Load time question.

I have 3 systems on my LAN
ergo - all specs same. EXCECPT one system has 512 ram
    other 2 have 1.5Mb ram
so, HD, network, dsl has NO effect when compared to Ram
99.99% of time, both systems are 1st into game
we can run to tanks, get the choppers, do whatever we want
    on new maps
on just new games - no effect
never timed the 512 ram system - but it takes several minutes

I'm talking about his whole puter, not just his RAM. From his sig:

        AMD Athlon 64 FX-55 - MSI MS-7185 nForce4 SLI
        2048 DDR RAM (PC3200) - 2x 250GB Serial ATA HD with Raid
        2 x 256MB NVIDIA 7800GTX PCI-E - 19" Viewsonic VX924 TFT
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS - Altec Lansing 5100 Speakers
        Logitech MX-518 - Saitek Eclipse K/board - Icemat 2nd Edition

He said he had 1 gb of ram, but his sig states 2gb. Obviously his sig must be like some sort of 'dream computer' or something,

1.5 gig of RAM is enough to ensure you are one of the 1st in game if not the 1st. The difference between 1.5gig to 1gig is huge, the difference from 1.5gig to 512meg is insane.
