Why arn't I seeing posts about the a-tank unlock?

I unlocked the a-tank shotgun, and the thing KICKS ASS! The shotgun is unstopable on close range and is THE weapon for Karkand... the rocket is a double bonus you can take out long range enemies and all the smacktards in the apc's and tanks.

It was my 4th unlock and my very much fav now. When I charge people turn and run!

of course shot guns are good for karkand, but if you are one of those people who actually play other maps shotguns arent always the best

True shotguns aren't as good in the open, I am useless with it always come across a support guy just out of range

No one posts about it much because it's one of the few unlocks that's better in every respect than the stock weapons. Nothing to argue about. The gun kills.

IMO not the greatest weapon of all. Has no distance what so ever. A sniper, spec ops can easily run away and support could simply spray them to death :=\

Up close the shotguns all dish out more damage faster than support weapons. At range I find an AT round usually settles them down. As for the others, if people want to run away I don't mind at all.

DAO-12 owns, was my first unlock. But I have learned to love the Support class and have been whoring with the PKM. Now that's a beast when in close and far away!

I was kinda tossing up between the anti-tank or the engineer unlock. You think the at is better?

Far away I must disagree. When all the unlocks were available thanks to EA I found that the PKM had more power but guns such as the Spec Ops it didn't stand a chance imo. Only best thing about support is the armour you have, but due to the lack of stamina and sprint you leave yourselves open to snipers

good thing shotguns in bf2 arent useless like in alot of games, counter-strike for example..

Maybe cause its a good weapon and nobody complains about it.

There were threads debating the DAO-12, but a simple search can reveal them. Im going to unlock the DAO next, i play AT mostly and feel that the mp5 doesn't do the class justice...I mean who in their right minds, gives a big blackguy with a rocket launcher an mp5 for a primary wep? Silly EA. But hey, at least we get to unlock a better gun.

It calls balance :) Man with guided rocket can`t have best anti infantry weapon. DAO 12 is great gun on every map, especially in cities. For long shots use you launchers and pistols.

I chose it because of my 'first unlock should be your most-used kit' rule.

Whenever I come up against somebody who is out of shotgun range, I simply whip out my pistol and take 'em down. I have taken down quite a number of guys with the pistol...sometimes 2-3 guys in a row. And I've even taken down a few snipers with it

It's great for increasing your pistol skill. It's not good to always have to rely on your main weapon for defense. It's nice to be GOOD at using your pistol when you have to whip it out because your main weapon is out of ammo
